You are fierce, strong, powerful, resilient. You are worthy of the life you crave, time for you to be creative, sexy, colorful, loud… whatever you desire. Say this out loud! Feel it in your bones.

Today, I share this affirmation with photos of amazing women I have photographed through the years. Each with their own story, their own light and style, their own expression.

When portraits become more than just about the image, and about the experience it does something for people. It makes them feel seen, open, and free to be themselves.

You know everyone loves behind the scenes clips, including me because when I’m locked in and in the zone, I don’t get to see the magic happening. Behind the scenes helps me reflect on sessions, and share the story of what I created and I think that’s such a treat! When I share the clips, it’s almost like we’re seeing it for the first time together.

Quick random thought…. Last week, I saw a reel talk about Millennials posting long posts and I felt called out 🤣. I love writing like I’m having a convo, and sometimes I have a lot to share. But I figured I would ask, do you like long captions, short captions or a mix?

Kiera, class of 2026 high school senior is coming to the studio today for her cap and gown session so naturally I had to prep by sharing her senior photos. Such a fun session inspired by her love for books, plants and nature!
Summer is filling up with class of 2027 senior sessions! And I can't wait for all the locations, golden hour sessions, sports sessions, in-studio sessions... all the ideas! We still have a few openings for June for Cap & Gown Sessions and summer senior sessions. Dm for more details!

A week from today, I’ll be with Sarah and the team at Next Move NY creating updated marketing and branding images. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph headshots and branding images for Next Move before, and I love working with their team. Every time I work with them, I feel welcomed like family and I see the heart in what they do, helping people see the opportunities right here in our community!

I just wanted to say thank you to Sarah and the Next Move team, and thank you to all of my returning clients over the years. Whether it’s been for headshots, branding, marketing images, family sessions, creative projects, or all the things in between. I appreciate every single one of you.

Senior Session Part 1: All the locations for this senior session! We started at the studio, walked over to the historic garden next door, headed to Thompson Park for those nature vibes photos, and finished at Watertown High School capturing football and track photos!

After all the photos were edited and complete, I created a custom album for Justin’s session, and I just found the video walkthrough of it. Stay tuned tomorrow for Part 2 where I’ll be sharing the album I designed with his photos.

Class of 2026 senior Emma wanted dreamy golden hour photos surrounded by nature for part of her session, and I’m so in love with how these turned out. What makes this session even more special to me is that I’ve photographed Emma for years. I still remember creating custom dance sessions with her when she was younger, and watching her continue to grow, push herself, and dedicate herself to dance through the years has been so incredible to witness.

Last year during her senior consultation, it felt like such a full circle moment. Getting to celebrate not only the beautiful young woman she’s become, but also all the hard work, passion, and love that helped shape her into who she is today.

Emma, I’m so proud of you and so excited for everything ahead. Thank you to you and your family for trusting me through all these years.

I started NNY Women Who Lead a year ago to create a group for women in business to learn together, creates authentic friendships and collaborations, and work together to help our community. One of our amazing members wrote an article for a magazine about sister circles and NNY Women Who Lead. It warms my heart because this is the kind of energy we have created in the group. Women who come with the intention of seeing others, being uplifting, listening, sharing, growing together. I have big plans for our group. When was the last time you updated your headshot? Are you using a favorite photo from an event that you cropped but it still feels meh.... and not so you? This June, I will be opening a few dates for Headshot & Branding refresh sessions!

These are awesome if you are wanting to have a few awesome new images for your website, LinkedIn, speaking opportunities, launching of new services, or because you're photos just don't feel like you anymore.

Did you laugh when you saw all of my photos? I went into the archives for the 2019 photo with the black eyeliner. It was my favorite!
