This past week I set a goal to get a sunset reflection of Denali in this remote pond I found a few years back. It has always been a goal of mine but the conditions have to be just right. Last time I was here the pond still had ice on it so you have to time it right.
When I came over the ridge I saw Denali was hidden in the clouds and my heart sank. All the planning and preparation for this trip all to be skunked out by clouds. But they were fast moving and I held out hope. As the time past, I could start to see more and more of Denali. And right as the sun was fully setting, Denali opened up and had this red glow along the top. And thats when I knew it was time to snap this photo.
