Today is World Down Syndrome Awareness Day 💛💙💛💙
These are some of the incredible souls I’ve had the honor of photographing this past year—and every single one of them carries a light that is impossible to miss.
But this day is especially close to my heart… because my own son, Asher, has Down syndrome 💛💙
He has changed the way I see the world—slowing me down, softening my heart, and showing me a depth of joy and love I didn’t even know was possible.
There is so much beauty & love in these amazing kiddos. The kind that reminds you to feel more, to love deeper, and to truly see people for exactly who they are.
✨ Down syndrome occurs when a person is born with an extra copy of chromosome 21
✨ It is the most common chromosomal condition, occurring in about 1 in every 700 babies in the U.S.
✨ Individuals with Down syndrome lead full, meaningful lives—bringing immense love, perspective, and impact to their families and communities
