In previous years, the Evening Grossbeaks have only visited us for a couple of days. This year, they have been with us for a couple of months and I have ZERO complaints :)

I was able to get away with the wrong camera settings while this beauty sat motionless in the tree. Once it began flight, I "missed" my opportunity, but I kept my finger on the shutter button. That's just how it goes; I miss more shots than I get right :)

Perhaps the little birds aren't as mesmerizing as say a pair of bald eagles or barred owls but they exude their own style of magnificence. Gold Finch in its winter plumage and a chickadee on a cold and blustery not-spring-yet day here in Vermont.

Every day on my commute to/from work, I am enamored with the simplistic beauty of this "very Vermont-style" landscape. An ice fishing shanty on a frozen lake at the base of a hillside. Looking carefully, you can see a rope of a tree swing hanging from a white birch tree. I hope you enjoy these.

I always appreciate when I am awake and aware enough to spot something out of the corner of my eye. I never could have imagined I'd be so lucky to capture these images. ❤

Just a few days ago I was shoveling 30” of snow off my roof in 6 degree temperature (not including wind chill). Yesterday, I took a walk in my Mom’s neighborhood (Florida) and came across this “dynamic duo” - Sandhill Cranes ❤️📸🏗️

It'd been nearly one year since I saw the two of them together. Keeping my fingers crossed for them to produce another offspring. Taken morning of 2/2/26 morning with temp of -15 degrees (not including wind chill). ❤

I feel absolutely blessed to have been chosen by this male and female Barred owl to have chosen our ecosystem (yard) to either court one another, or as a bonded pair, to live, hunt, breed and maybe raise an owlet.
Note: A lone Blue Jay drew the "short straw" to taunt and harass the owls attempting to drive it away with no such luck. Thankfully, Cathy Smith Morneault and I have not witnessed a prey animal succumbing to a predator. Fingers crossed. 🤞

I'm a bit late in posting these. I'm learning/experimenting with a new processing software program. So far, I like it a lot. It cut my editing time down significantly which is a big benefit. I could have polished up the photos a bit more, but I wanted to get these up while the ski season is still relevant :)

In the span of 4 years that I have been a photographer, I have taken 10s of thousands of photos. I have taken A LOT of bad pictures, and I have also created art that I am proud of, and that people have purchased. The following photos are my crowning achievement thus far.
The bald eagle represents a spirit guide - a messenger between heaven and earth. The message I received will be very different from the one my photos give to you.
However, the bald eagle is such a rare sight to experience that I feel I was divinely led (chosen) to share their messages with you. Interpret them how you choose and how you feel.
My mission: To Preserve Unique Moments & Create Lasting Memories.
I hope you enjoy my work and please feel free to share.
Peter
