It'd been a few years since I attempted to photograph the Osprey(s). I'm happy with the shots I took with the sun at my back. Shooting into the sun is not an easy task to "get right". I definitely need some more practice.

It was a blistering hot day for this event, but that didn't stop these pro-level and developing elite athletes from competing/training for cross country skiing and biathlon. Light conditions were tough to work around and I made some mistakes in my camera setting choices. We learn from our mistakes :)

Well, the calendar says today is the first day of Summer. However, we are still very much in what seems to be early Spring (and the rainy season). Regardless, this White Admiral butterfly seems to be enjoying this Sweet William plant (Dianthus barbatus)

I was absolutely thrilled to have experienced another "first-time" visitor to our yard - a grey fox. Note: We've had red fox before, but never a grey fox. :) Social media platforms do not portray the true quality/sharpness of the images which is frustrating.

I rushed these photos and didn't have access to my usual editing software. However, I'm pretty happy with them considering the circumstances. Photos taken in a park in downtown Ft. Pierce, FL on 6/7/26.

Not a day goes by where I don't give thanks for being a steward to Mother Nature's beauty. I am "paid" very well for sharing the photos I take in our yard. I am "rich" with experiences that I could never dream of. Every day, I am rewarded with gifts that I can never repay. Yet somehow and someway the Universe reminds me to stay on my current path - despite the chaos of the world that surrounds me.

The Ruby-throated hummingbirds are back! Yahoo :) At times, this male's throat was as bright as a neon sign.

There's a reason why Peter Gabriel (San Jacinto-song), Robert Plant (29 Palms-song), and U2 (Joshua Tree-album) found inspiration in this eerily fascinating place (the Mojave desert) to create their art.
