ATTENTION CLIENTS: IMPORTANT INFO FOR BUSY SEASON!

September- December are the busiest months for photographers. My turnaround time will be extended and possibly uncertain during these months while my workload is heavy. I want to explain exactly why it might take longer than usual to receive your edited images.

First and most important - my art cannot be rushed. I won't lower my standard for quality in order to return images faster. You might wait a bit longer, but you can be certain to receive my very best work.

Because I can't work faster, I have to work longer hours to keep up. Unfortunately I have limits there as well. We have all stared at a bright screen for too long. After a while, my eyes just can't go on and I'm forced to stop editing. I promise you, every moment I'm not working right now, I'm thinking about how much work I have to do lol.

It sucks and I hate it!!! I hate making clients wait. Returning beautiful portraits is my favorite part of the job and I get all "itchy" until I get that scratch! So I try to stay in close contact and I'm totally transparent with waiting clients. Please DO INQUIRE!!! You aren't nagging - you are helping me give you my best service.

There are things I can do when I'm busy like this! Right now I am uploading edited images in batches, rather than waiting until I complete the full order. I'm also asking all clients waiting on orders to mark their top 3 to 5 images and I can work on those first. Forget saving best for last - I know you want to print/share your favs ASAP! For clients that need to print announcements, invitations, or holiday cards by a deadline I can typically put a rush on up to 2 images from your order.

So please do not wonder - ASK! Honestly, it does the opposite of stress me out. Having everyone totally updated feels much better! I wish I could set up a baby monitor over my shoulder so everyone could just check in, real time lol!

Finally I want to thank all of my clients who are keeping me busy right now. Some dear, old friends, and several incredible new clients, instantly befriended. I'm so grateful. I'm so lucky. I have the best job in the world.
