One of the most common things I hear from couples when they first reach out is “We know we want to elope… but we have no idea where.”

And honestly? That’s completely normal.

Most couples don’t come to me with a specific trail, beach, waterfall, or mountain already picked out. Instead, I usually start by asking a different question:

When you picture your day, what does it feel like?

Do you imagine exchanging vows in a dense mossy forest? Standing in front of a waterfall? Walking along a quiet beach with endless ocean views? Surrounded by wildflowers with mountain peaks in the distance?

Once I understand the atmosphere and experience you’re drawn to, I can start narrowing down locations that fit your vision. I’ll also take into account things like the season, guest count, accessibility, and whether you’re excited about a hike or would prefer something easy to access.

You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out. That’s what I’m here for. ❤️

Location scouting and personalized recommendations are a big part of the planning process, and we’ll figure it out together.

Most people hope for sunshine when they visit the coast, but honestly, some of my favorite days out there have been wrapped in a thick layer of fog. It creates a moody, cinematic atmosphere that feels uniquely Pacific Northwest and can make photos feel incredibly intimate and timeless.

One of the things I love most is how the fog softens the landscape while making the colors stand out even more. The greens become richer, the ocean takes on deeper tones, and the cliffs seem to emerge out of the mist. Sunny days are beautiful too, but there’s something special about the quiet, dramatic feeling that fog brings to the coast.

Most people think of Mount Rainier as a summer destination, but spring can be a really beautiful time to elope here too. While many of the roads and trails are still buried under snow, areas like Paradise usually remain accessible and offer a completely different experience than you’ll find in July or August. Think snow covered meadows, dramatic clouds, and fewer people around.

One thing to keep in mind is that mountain views are never guaranteed this time of year. Some days Rainier is completely hidden behind clouds, while other days you might get lucky with stunning views of the mountain and surrounding peaks. Personally, I love both. The fog, snow, and moody weather can create a really unique atmosphere that feels true to the Pacific Northwest.

The biggest pros of a spring elopement are fewer crowds, snowy mountain scenery, and a more adventurous feel. The biggest tradeoff is flexibility. Road closures, changing weather, and limited trail access can all affect your plans. If you’re willing to embrace whatever the mountain gives you though, spring at Rainier can be pretty magical.

One thing I always tell couples: don’t be afraid to plan your elopement on a weekday. You’ll usually get quieter trails, more privacy, easier parking, and a way more relaxed experience overall. Especially in those stunning and popular places. 🤍

Just got back into town after spending 10 days on the road driving through Oregon, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho. Every time I leave the Portland area, I come back with a fresh appreciation for the place I get to call home.

My busy season is starting to ramp up, and I’m feeling really inspired and excited for all of the upcoming elopements and weddings ahead. I never take for granted that I get to document such meaningful milestones in people’s lives, and I honestly can’t wait for everything this season has in store!

Absolutely obsessed with this location. I’ve been wanting to check out these tunnels for a while, and they completely exceeded my expectations. I’m always blown away by how many incredible spots we have within a two hour drive of Portland.

Just HAD to share a photo from yesterday! This is a spot I’ve been wanting to shoot at for so long, and it fully lived up to it. It seriously feels like you’re out in SE Oregon, but it’s only about 90 minutes from Portland. And the wildflowers? Absolutely stunning out there right now. Can’t wait to share more soon! 🫶

If you’re dreaming about eloping in 2026, there’s still time!

If a national park is on your mind, now’s a good time to start looking into special use permits so you can lock in a ceremony location you love. That said, there are so many incredible spots outside the parks that don’t require permits at all, especially if you’re keeping things simple and intimate.

My 2026 calendar is nearly full, but I still have a handful of dates open here and there (weekdays especially). If you know you want to elope but have no idea where to start, I’ve got you. As a local, I’ve spent years exploring this area and love helping my couples find locations that truly fit them. My goal is to make the entire planning process feel as stress free and fun as possible, so you can stay focused on what actually matters.
