The transition from fall to summer in the alpine elevations of the cascades is one of my favorites. Still a little warm, still golden hour goodness, but the foliage is changing and there’s a shift in the air. Enjoy a bit of perfection from Grace & RJ’s mid September elopement in the prettiest of places with some of my favorite Washington mountains.

Gooey golden hour on the Oregon Coast with these Michiganders!! Where we laughed and yapped and laughed some more and I, once again, fell in love with a couple I met in a parking lot lacking cell service.

Katy & Nina on Whidbey Island this August, saying “I do” with their besties, some observant seagulls, and even a seal! While the morning started with rain, the day ended with one of the prettiest sunsets I’d seen all summer - a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Jessi & Shane in NYC, during their last 48 hours of living there. Shane’s job has taken them all over the US, but since he grew up in Queens, their time in New York was extra special. Two weeks before this we had a “hey this is a crazy idea but are you down” conversation about me coming out to document the end of this chapter for them. A couple of heck yeahs later, I was on a plane and we were exploring on little sleep and loads of laughter. From the Met, to Dumbo, neighborhood salsa dancing, the Brooklyn Bridge, and all the subway rides in between - we walked and talked and soaked in the special that is New York City. So here are two of my favorite humans celebrating the end of one adventure as they head off into another, on both digital and film ✨

A sunrise ceremony overlooking the epic Pinnacles of Badlands National Park, celebrating Marissa & Sam as they said “I do” in front of their friends and family that traveled across states to be with them. Tears and laughter and ooey gooey golden light!! We then ran around the park for an hour before parting ways until I joined them for their reception later that evening. Buffalo, big horn sheep, and prairie dogs all stood witness and I think they probably cheered for them too 💫
