I'd like to take a minute to congratulate Dr. Lisa Hoopis! I have had the privilege to call Lisa a friend for many years now and have witnessed her incredible journey firsthand. Just last Saturday, she graduated with her doctorate from Johnson & Wales University in Providence—a milestone that represents years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice.

Lisa’s commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring. She has worked tirelessly with organizations like Planned Parenthood and Sojourner House in Providence, RI, dedicating herself to supporting and empowering others, and now she is working to help guide students on their college journeys at Rhode Island College. Along the way, she sacrificed many important moments with friends and family to reach this remarkable achievement.

Her perseverance and passion serve as a shining example of what can be accomplished with determination and heart. Please join me in celebrating Dr. Lisa Hoopis and all that she has accomplished. Here’s to many more successes and the positive impact she will continue to make in the world!

Nestled in the woods of Richmond, Rhode Island, you will find The Preserve Sporting Club & Residences. This luxury resort and master planned community sits on 3,500 acres in the middle of the Carolina Management Area, all of which is protected land. The Preserve offers numerous year-round, outdoor activities such as ziplining, golf, hunting, and more for residents, members, and guests.

One of the more unique features to be found at the Preserve are their three Hobbit Houses.

These Hobbit Houses can be booked by anyone. You do not need to be a resident or member to do so, and they can be booked for photo shoots (like I did) or for a once in a lifetime dining experiences with groups from 4 to 8 people.

Newport Daffodil Days was started in 2006 and inspired by Aberdeen, Scotland.

Originally touted as "Parks in Bloom", this project was spearheaded by Newport's Tree Warden, Scott Wheeler, and funded by Ron Fleming, as well as other donors.

Parks in Bloom is an all-volunteer civic beautification campaign that has planted over 1,500,000 daffodil bulbs to date, all of which were donated with an estimated value of over $700,000. When the project started the bulbs were all planted by hand, but are now planted with the help of an automatic bulb planter that was imported from Holland, and donated to the city of Newport.

Hello everyone! As many of you know I had a life changing event last year, I lost my leg above the knee.

Now, as I continue to navigate and expand my career after my amputation. I’m looking to add new clients.

I specialize in video production/commercials, music videos, dance recital/theater, and remote video editing and photography. For now, unfortunately no weddings, as I'm learning to use my prosthetic leg.
