To be honest, we searched everywhere to see if a workshop like this already existed.
Do people have access to a photography workshop that focuses on portraits? And takes place in an amazing destination? And is hosted by locals?
If you're going to travel for a workshop, you don't want your workshop hosts to feel like just more tourists. You want the authentic, locals experience.
This trifecta didn't exist.
So we created it.
Our photography workshop is called 'Scenic Portraits on the French Riviera'
Workshop Hosts: Pierre Chiha and Gaby Chiha of Chiha Portraits. We're a father daughter duo and we live part time between Nice, France and Boston, MA. We're a highly successful, family-run photography studio since 1998.

Is November a bad time for an outdoor photoshoot?

A lot of people think it’s not worth it to have a photoshoot past October because they think it won’t look good and it will be too cold.

We are here to tell you that November is great for photoshoots! Especially if you have your family together over Thanksgiving week.

ALL of these photos were taken during November photoshoots around the greater Boston area like Concord & Cambridge.

I bet you can’t tell which photo is the latest in November out of the group 😉

We know the best places to go for a photoshoot depending on what time of year it is. Not all locations lose fall foliage at the same time. Some locations keep a beautiful evergreen color year round. You have to know where to go and how to capture the right angles.

Regarding the cold, here are our top tips-
1. Wear an extra layer hidden underneath your outfit
2. Bring a fashionable jacket or coat that can be worn in your photos. Typically, form fitted is best. There are definitely some exceptions.
3. Regardless, bring a warm coat that you can wear in between photos when we’re walking around

Her inquisitive, subtle smile is everything!
