I brought this canvas back to the field where I originally photographed Jay, Sheena, and their red boys 😄

Most gorgeous pieces of art don't necessarily start out as breathtaking 😜

Most times, gorgeous pieces start out as "the right shade of green," "the most solid tree shade," "the coziest vibe," or any other weird sentences that come out of my mouth.

The point is, don't be afraid to invest
in someone (🙋)
holding a camera
out in a boring ol' field.

If you could do it yourself...
you probably would have by now 🖼️

I appreciate so many things about this matching set of art pieces, which I delivered this week.

👉 the planning: we created this display for this room! The family is Sitting. On. This. Chair in the bottom photo 🪑

👉 the colors: in our very first phone call, the dad requested tones of dark blue, dark green, a splash of red, a splash of yellow. DONE ✅

👉 the togetherness: these are the first family portraits since the two littlest babies were born!

Now these babies can see themselves snuggled into their family, in the place where they belong.

During my ordering session with a client tonight, we were picking out their artwork--and her mom was the most helpful person who could be in the room!!

There's something about "the generation up"--the ones who lived life first, who are a bit further down the same path.

They have the scope to see where their kids have come from, what their kids have lived through, and where their kids are going.

And they're able to have that birds' eye view to help pick out artwork, because of it!

Nothing defines your space quite like the artwork on your walls. And nobody knows your journey (and the corresponding artwork) like your parents and grandparents 🥰 It's lovely to witness.
