2026 is Thomasville's 200th anniversary and we are celebrating it big all year long with a year full of festivities, local history, live entertainment, family fun, and hometown spirit.
I am thrilled to be a part of the festivities with my narrative quilt for the "My Side of the Story" public art competition!
Quilt judging is April 2nd and all quilts will be on display for the public to enjoy at the event space at Hubs & Hops, 209 West Re*****on Avenue, April 3 & 4 and then at Grassroots Coffee from April 7 - August 1.
Come out and support your local quilters and artists and see the history of Thomasville through these fabulous quilts.

I know I have been MIA for a while but I have been focusing a lot on textiles this spring and adding quilting and sewing elements to my art. Here is a sneak peeks of one of the things I have been working on for the Due South "My Side of the Story" narrative quilt exhibition. I will be sure to post pictures of the finished quilt a little later in the month.

These tripod lanterns are portable! Featuring a light with a usb connection you can power them with your phone, computer, power bank or plug them in the wall. These are our favorite power outage lights as I can just plug them into a power bank and move them around the house.

I gathered the seaweed and shells while visiting a friend in Naples, Fl. A recent storm left a lot of debris that was perfect for making these pieces.
