Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the ATHENA Leadership Luncheon, celebrating women whose leadership creates a lasting impact in our community.

It was inspiring to hear stories of courage, service, and resilience, and to connect with so many remarkable leaders dedicated to making a difference.

As a photographer and visual storyteller, I’m reminded that behind every person is a journey worth sharing.

One quote from Elizabeth Smart especially stayed with me:

“I’ve never met a woman who isn’t strong. She doesn’t exist.”

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing the incredibly talented young artist Sylvester Carter for Montgomery Neighbors Magazine.

His creativity, presence, and story made this such a meaningful session to capture.

Grateful to share that The Woodlands’ Reflections received 3rd Place in Photography (Established) at the 2026 Annual LSAG Art Show.

This piece first qualified through a local juried show, which made the opportunity to exhibit it at the annual LSAG show even more meaningful. Seeing it recognized among so many talented artists from across Texas is something I will truly carry with gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my artistic journey, encouraged my work, and believed in me along the way, especially my family, whose love and support mean more than words can express.

A special thank you to The Woodlands Art League and The Woodlands Photography Club for the community, encouragement, learning, and opportunities that continue to help me grow as an artist.

I’m leaving this experience inspired, humbled, and excited for the years ahead. This feels like one more beautiful step in a much bigger journey. 💛

Today I have the honor of covering a very special celebration for Montgomery Neighbors Magazine: George Waters’ 105th birthday.

George is a WWII veteran and former POW, and I just received a copy of his book, No Thought For Tomorrow. Holding his story in my hands before meeting him feels incredibly meaningful — a reminder that behind every milestone birthday is a lifetime of courage, history, faith, and memories worth preserving.

I’m looking forward to celebrating George today and helping share a piece of his remarkable story with our community.

The story behind what I create 💛
