hy, I try to capture movement within a single image, so that the subject appears to move or, conversely, stand still. I am a searcher. I like to look into the surface of what I see and to consider it from different perspectives, attempting to discover something new, or something beyond, in the process. The process of making of art is an internal conversation and process of discovery. When I feel the piece is finished, I want the viewer to enter a journey of discovery of their own – to a place, a meditation or feeling – or to see the world through my eyes.

My Woman with Red Umbrella continues up in Taos Canyon. The woman is holding the umbrella out over the stream from a wooden bridge. Tree branches shadows fall on a red umbrella open above a leafy stream. 35mm, Taos, 2023. Custom archival prints; unframed, flat prints larger than 36" ship rolled.
