Nina Bashaw Photography Nina Bashaw Photography Who is Nina Bashaw? My other passion is people! I have spent years developing my skills as a portrait and wedding photographer.

Hi I'm Nina the owner of Nina Bashaw Photography, wife of 17 years to an amazing man and mom to two spoiled fur babies. Although I have been professionally shooting weddings and portraits for eight years, my passion for photography started when I was a young child with a film camera. Even though I shoot digital now, film is what made me fall in love with photography and it created my love and appr

eciation for prints. Although I was born and raised a southern girl, my husband and I have lived in various cities around the country and I've learned that the most fascinating part is always the people. I love capturing the special moments of families with children, teens preparing for graduating or couples getting married. Through whatever special moment in life you want to capture, my goal is to capture your best angles and most genuine smiles. One thing I spent a great deal of time on is studying and perfecting the art of posing, it is what I am best at. I pride myself on being able to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera while I guide you through the posing process. I would consider my shooting and editing style as classic and timeless. I spend a great deal of time during the culling and editing process so that you can see the best version of yourself through my lens. I want you to love your images for a lifetime and tell your story though photos. You tell me your vision and I will work hard to bring it to life! I accept a limited amount of weddings per year so I can give each and everyone of my clients an amazing experience. If you're planning a wedding for 2021 or 2022 please contact me about my availability and pricing. Although I am based out of Tampa, Florida I travel worldwide for weddings and events. If you are graduating class of 2021 or 2022 and are looking for a senior portrait photographer, please contact me for complete package pricing, I would love to be your photographer! I am available for the following type photo sessions:

Seniors - Head Shots – Engagements – Weddings

"I hate having my photo taken."

As a photographer, that's probably the phrase I hear most often and honestly, it's completely normal.

Most people feel awkward in front of the camera. You don't need to know how to pose, be photogenic, or feel confident before your session. That's my job.

I recently wrote a blog post about why so many people feel this way and how a great photography experience can help you feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.

If you've spent any time in wedding planning groups, you've probably seen posts that say things like:

"I want a documentary photographer!" . . while sharing heavily posed editorial photos.

The truth is, many of the photography terms couples use don't always match the images they're actually drawn to, and that's completely normal.

I put together a guide explaining the differences between candid, editorial, documentary, photojournalistic, fine art, lifestyle, traditional, true to color, and film inspired photography so you can better understand what you're looking for before hiring a wedding photographer.

If you've ever wondered what these terms actually mean, this one's for you.

Candid photos and unposed photos are NOT the same thing. 👏I said what I said. Let me explain….

A good photographer knows when to step back for real moments and when to step in with direction that actually flatters you.

• Posing should fit your body type, height differences, attire, and natural movement

• Your photographer should know how to use lighting and location to your advantage

• “Unposed” doesn’t mean standing there awkwardly with no guidance

• The best candid photos come from good direction first

There’s a big difference between documenting a moment and leaving you guessing what to do with your hands!
