It’s still pride month y’all! It may have rained, but it didn’t stop us. Rain on a wedding day is a good omen that represents tears of joy, cleansing, renewal, and abundance. All good things. It was such an honor to shoot this wedding for these two last fall. They were so incredibly loved. So many tears and hugs. They were so happy to be married it was palpable. They had a drag queen announce them into their grande entrance after the ceremony and we ran around and took pictures with as many folks as we could afterwards. So fun!

There’s something about a vow renewal that just hits different. They give me such hope. Hope in couples that can last. That people can grow and change together, work through hard things that lead to a deeper connection over disconnection, truly accept and forgive, repair, and continue to respect one another as they spend decades choosing one another over and over again. Building something, growing generations, and experiencing life along side one another. Yes please.

Every wedding I have ever shot has been so unique. This couple loved the arts: old books and theatre. They started at getting ready and moved their way to for their ceremony and reception. Their reception had a vintage aesthetic of candles with pressed florals on them set in gold candelabras, velvet couches, radios, leather suit cases, record players and antiques. A tradition in this family was to do the “money dance” where family members pinned money on them to dance with them. A tradition I can get down with. We should do a money dance for every one of life’s transitions. 😅 And the bouquet toss was a highlight of the night, with the brides sister catching it. They decided to end their night with the entire wedding party heading to the together.

is a venue to remember. Being right on the river with the dock makes it a magical backdrop. They supply you with cute spaces to get ready along with tables and linens for dinner if needed, they have a built in bar for drinks and a stunning ceremony site. It’s got everything. This bride took photos from her bo***ir session, printed them into a custom album and surprised her soon to be husband during the first look before they walked down the aisle. I love this so much. Putting a little color in his cheeks and something to spice up the moment. Anticipation and suspense. They washed each other’s hands at the altar as they sealed their commitment to one another and that was that! The moms of the bride and groom danced together in celebration and folks played corn hole with beer in hand.

The next iconic entrance was the groom this time riding in on a Harley Davidson on top of a mountain at . Was a gorgeous day with an incredible back drop of Mount McLoughlin behind them as they declared their love to one another in front of their friends and family. No ceremony is complete without a crying flower girl that suddenly changed her mind and was not having it (made for some comic relief). Absolutely perfect first kiss dip I have ever photographed in my entire wedding photographer life. 10/10 When two rival football team fans get married, you better believe it’s rowdy! Both mom’s hand made them and presented them with a quilt to gift them on their wedding day with their colors in mind. They even took photos from their engagement session with me and printed them as labels for the wine bottles on the tables at the reception. LOVED that. They also were musicians so you better believe the groomsmen performed for them as their speech before the first dances. I had never laughed so hard shooting speeches. They were creative geniuses. The hard truth is the best man wasn’t able to be present at the wedding as he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly right before the wedding. This motorcycle was his, so this was a way that they had him with them in spirit. It was an emotional day in so many ways as they were celebrating and grieving all at be same time. I felt honored to be there to capture so many symbolic and incredible moments for them. Always grateful to witness and hold space for such complex emotions.

As the theme song to Zelda played, she zip lined into the ceremony and he caught her. Probably one of the most iconic entrances I’ve ever seen. Absolutely loved it. They took a selfie with their guests at the arbor before the ceremony started. The arbor that they built and would take home to put in their backyard at their new home. So many special moments/symbols that highlighted who they truly were and the life they wanted to build together every step of the way. The best man surprised the couple with a live band flash mob that popped up and started performing as they walked down the aisle. Tears were leaking out of their eyes and big hugs came after. Guests brought board games as gifts (taking notes). This couple rented this gorgeous property for a month to host their wedding. This gave them plenty of time to plan and make the most of the money they spent for their venue. Genius. I sobbed as they had their first dance as they are dear friends of mine. Their play made me weep. The couples that play together, stay together I think.

Kelly Hammond Events crushed this wedding as usual as well as for food. .floraldesign or florals and for hair and make up.

Wedding season is here! We love a spring wedding where the weather is just right in southern Oregon and everything is popping with green still. is always one of my favorite planners & coordinators to work with in the valley. She always brings in some of the best vendors and everything was gorgeous. speaks for itself with its delicious wine and stunning views. The perfect venue for this intimate wedding. is a staple for event rentals for any occasion and with her iconic dance floor worked together to set the stage for the ultimate place to celebrate after these two sealed the deal. And of course we can’t forget the colorful florals to tie it all together by .floraldesign. This crew knew how to dance and it was so fun to witness and capture their joy together. There is always one person that wants to take my camera and take a picture of me with a guest and sometimes I let them. 🤭
