I love detail shots because they do a lot without needing the image to explain itself to death.

This is the kind of thing I am watching for during a session while also probably fixing a strap, moving a hand, checking the light, and realizing the jewelry is doing something ridiculous in the best way.

The little pieces matter.

The chain placement matters. The texture matters. The shadows matter. The way the image feels like it is letting you look, but not handing you every single thing at once, matters.

Bo***ir does not have to be one specific version of sexy to work.

It can be soft, dark, quiet, intense, covered, uncovered, detailed, simple, dramatic, or somewhere in the middle where we are figuring it out as we go.

You do not have to know how to pull all of that together before you walk in.

I will help with the styling, the posing, the small adjustments, and the tiny “wait, hold that” moments that usually end up being some of my favorites.

and yes, I am absolutely the person who will stop mid-shoot because one little detail is bothering me and I need to fix it before it haunts me later.

Not every bo***ir session has to feel dark, moody, or super serious.

Sometimes it is literally us on a beach, working around rocks, wind, water, weird angles, and me saying “okay wait, this is cute, hold that” because the whole thing is coming together better than expected.

That is one of the reasons I like keeping bo***ir flexible.

It can be soft.

It can be bold.

It can be playful.

It can be a little dramatic.

It can be whatever actually fits you instead of forcing you into one version of what bo***ir is “supposed” to look like.

And no, you do not have to know which version fits before you book.

That is part of what we figure out while planning.

The location, the outfit, the mood, the amount of skin, the level of softness or edge, all of that gets built around you.

Not some random checklist from the internet that says bo***ir has to look one exact way.

This is one of those images where the styling is doing a lot, but it still does not take over the person in the frame.

That balance matters so much.

The red, the texture, the jewelry, the fishnets, the dry grass, the darker edges around the image, all of it adds to the feeling without making her disappear inside the concept.

That is always the line I am watching for.

I want the styling to support you, not swallow you whole.

I want the pose to feel intentional without making you look like you were placed somewhere and told to freeze forever.

I want the image to have presence, but still feel like there is a real person standing there with breath in her body and thoughts behind her eyes.

You do not have to know how to balance all of that before your session.

I will help with the styling, the posing, the tiny shifts, the “wait, move your hand a smidge” moments, and yes, probably the random thing I notice 0.2 seconds before I take the shot.

Courtney is talented and amazing. When it came to our first session, I did not know what to expect, because I had not done any photoshoots before. By the end of that session, I felt so confident and comfortable during the photoshoot. Anytime I step in front of Courtney's camera, she immediately becomes my hypewoman. She gives me a boost in my confidence level and it shows in all the photos we take. Courtney's directions are simple and easy to follow. She poses her models in beautiful, flattering ways that promote self-love. I cannot wait until I can get creative with Courtney again and I highly recommend her photography services!!!!!!

Portrait sessions do not have to be plain just because they are not bo***ir.

I think that is where people get stuck sometimes.

They assume portraits mean standing somewhere cute, smiling a little, and hoping it feels like enough.

But portraits can have styling.

They can have edge.

They can have story, texture, mood, movement, and a little bit of “okay wait, I did not know I could look like that.”

That is the part I love building with clients.

We can use wardrobe, location, accessories, body language, and the way you naturally carry yourself to create something that feels intentional without making it feel like you are pretending to be someone else.

You do not have to know how to pull all of that together before you book.

That is what the planning is for, and honestly, that is where a lot of the good stuff starts.

It can be bold.

It can be quiet.

It can feel like sunlight, stone, wind, and the version of you that stopped shrinking herself to make the moment easier for everyone else.

I am watching the lines, the angles, the light, the hands, the chin, the tension, the softness, and all the tiny pieces that make the image work.

When I first reached out to Indulgence about booking my session I was Excited to work with new energy. I booked my session with Indulgence because I really like Courtney’s gentle but direct energy. My biggest fear about my upcoming session was You never know if you’ll mesh with a new photographer. I loved how Courtney made me feel sexy and safe. It’s so important in order to get true sexy, true desire in photos, to be in a safe space. Courtney is that safe space. During my session I felt Empowered, relaxed, and free. My favorite part was Courtney showing me amazing shots she got in camera between us switching things up to encourage me! Working with Courtney was A true connection, and I adored her. When I saw my images during the reveal, I was In love with myself even more. After my session with Indulgence I feel Empowered, in control of my sensuality.
