One of my favorite things about photography is working with clients visiting the Pacific Northwest for the first time. TAIYAH wanted photos that truly felt like the PNW, and Chambers Bay gave us the perfect soft gray skies and coastal textures. You can see more on the full blogpost next week!

I love incorporating locations with history and meaning — it adds so much depth to the memories we create together.

If you’re thinking about family or senior photos this year, let’s start the conversation!

Mini session or half session…which one actually makes sense for your family?

If you’re wanting something quick, easy, and budget-friendly, mini sessions are such a good fit. But if your kids need a little time to warm up (or you’re dreaming of a more personalized, go-at-your-own-pace kind of experience), a half session might be the better move.

Both are designed with real families in mind—just different vibes depending on what your crew needs 🤍

I broke it all down in a blog to help you decide. Head to my website through the link in my bio!

A hidden lupine patch in Point Defiance Park sets the scene for a heartfelt Tacoma family photography session, reminding us that while beautiful locations matter, the real magic comes from the genuine connection shared between family members.

Hidden blooms, soft spring light, and a whole lot of connection — this Point Defiance Park session with the Hoffman family was a beautiful reminder that Tacoma is full of little surprises. While locations add charm, the real magic always comes from the way families show up for each other. Watching walls come down, laughter build, and those small reassuring touches appear is what turns photos into memories. If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, I’d love to explore Tacoma with you and capture your story.

Your home already holds everything you need to tell your story! 🤍

In-home sessions aren’t about perfect spaces or perfectly behaved kids—they’re about capturing what life actually feels like right now. The snack breaks, the favorite books on repeat, the way your kids move through the spaces they know best. It’s slower, more meaningful, and centered on connection over perfection. Years from now, these are the moments you’ll want to remember most, and they deserve to be documented just as they are.

Fall is one of the best times for senior photography in Tacoma, especially along the waterfront. Clara’s session at Chinese Reconciliation Park perfectly blended Pacific Northwest scenery with her love of dance—soft movement against the rugged beauty of Tacoma’s shoreline. As a Tacoma senior and family photographer, I help seniors choose locations and outfits that reflect who they are in this season of life.

Spring is one of my favorite seasons to photograph in Tacoma—and it doesn’t get nearly enough love 🌿

The light softens, everything turns green again, and with the right location, spring sessions can feel calm, relaxed, and timeless. The key is choosing spots that work with spring conditions: thinking about sun exposure, wind, foot traffic, and the best times of day.

I just shared a blog post walking through my favorite springtime photo locations in Tacoma—from reliable beach spots to beautiful parks and a few urban locations that photograph so well this time of year.

If you’re planning family, couple, or maternity photos this spring and feeling stuck on where to go, this guide is for you! Check out it on my website.
