Senior guys don’t always show up excited for photos — and that’s okay!

Stuart’s senior session at Bremerton Marina is a perfect example of how a little time, connection, and conversation can completely change the experience. The first few minutes are all about breaking the ice, finding common ground, and helping seniors feel comfortable being themselves.

By the end of the session, what started as something “mom scheduled” turned into a relaxed and fun collaboration — and the photos truly reflect who Stuart is in this season of life.

Senior year goes by fast, and these moments deserve to be remembered. 🤍

Family photos with teens can feel…a little unpredictable 😅 but honestly, these are some of the most meaningful seasons to document.

If your kid isn’t exactly thrilled about photos right now, you’re not alone—and you’re not doing anything wrong. My approach is all about meeting them where they’re at, keeping things low-pressure, and creating space for real connection (without forcing the snuggly poses that don’t quite fit anymore).

And more often than not? They end up laughing and settling in by the end 🤍

Every July has become something our family looks forward to all year long — a chance to slow down, travel together, and explore new parts of the country from our tiny home on wheels.

Last summer we headed east to Badlands National Park and the Black Hills of South Dakota, and I was completely stunned by how beautiful the landscape was. The boys climbed rocky formations, we watched wildlife roam freely through Custer State Park, learned Cold War history at the Minuteman Missile Museum, and even experienced South Dakota thunderstorms that shook our entire trailer!

One of my favorite moments was stepping outside my comfort zone and exploring Wind Cave National Park — an experience I’ll never forget.

These trips take work to plan and manage, but the memories and connection we build as a family make it worth every bit of effort. Already counting down to this year’s adventure in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone!
