I’m not sure I’ve ever smiled this much at a wedding. From the emotional moments to the absolute joy that carried through the entire day, nothing could have stopped these two from having the very best time.

Somehow, I felt like I’d known Jillian for years, and it was such an honor to be there for all of the moments that made this day so special. A stunning Sperry tent at Spring Lake Golf Club, the happiest crowd, Peanut — their very large, slightly walrus-looking bulldog 😂, and Brian Kirk and the Jirks putting on one of the BEST performances I’ve ever seen… with Jillian eventually joining them on stage. I’m pretty sure Brian Kirk & The Jirks smiled more this night than all other weddings combined!

My face literally hurt from smiling by the end of the night.

Here are just a few from a day that was nearly impossible to narrow down. I’ll be using this song forever when sharing this wedding because Jillian literally ditched me during sunset photos to dance when it came on!

A stormy summer day at Mallard Island Estate.

At one point, Christine stood in the boathouse chapel looking out at the rain falling over the bay and simply said, “I love the rain.” And honestly, that summed up the entire day. She and Jon were just happy — completely present and soaking in every second exactly as it came.

Before the ceremony, their families read poems written by Jon’s grandmother before releasing butterflies that Christine + Jon had raised from caterpillars themselves. And then there was Mindy, arguably the star of the entire wedding, dressed for the occasion and by their side from the first look through cocktail hour.

Rain and all, it was such a beautiful day!

From the moment the day began, Dana & Thomas couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Every glance, every laugh, every quiet in-between moment felt effortless. And as the stories were shared throughout the day, one thing became abundantly clear: everyone who knows them has the same feeling—they were always meant to find each other.

My prep guide says to bring something that feels like you… they understood the assignment.

On film. The in-between moments frozen in time. No re-dos, no editing—just Amy & Dave, and a couple of hot dogs.

Still figuring out this film thing, I don’t love waiting to see the results but it’s pretty fun to not stress about everything being just right - Perfectly imperfect.

Timeless. Intentional. Effortlessly elegant.

Kristin & Dylan’s black-tie weekend at Mallard Island Estate was a reminder that the most beautiful celebrations aren’t defined by perfect weather, but by the people at the heart of them. The rain held off until after the ceremony, the chapel windows framed an unforgettable summer storm, and every moment in between felt quietly extraordinary.

The forecast may have changed 9,382 times leading up to this session (not that Maya or I were keeping track), but somehow we ended up with the most perfect summer night on LBI.

We met at Brody’s family beach house, snuck in a quick outfit change, included their pup for a few photos, and finished in the waves — it was an evening on the beach that felt like summer at its best.

Now, exactly one year before they say “I do” at Mallard Island Estate, we got to celebrate this season of life together—and if this session is any indication, next summer is going to be something special.

Some wedding days don’t go exactly as planned... they end up even better.
After a hot, rainy afternoon, the skies cleared just in time for a walk along the Spring Lake boardwalk—giving Monica & Chris a few quiet moments together before heading back to celebrate with the people they love most.

From getting ready overlooking the water to the sweetest flower girl who completely stole the show, this day was full of gentle, in-between moments that felt so genuinely them. Elegant, timeless, and centered around family from beginning to end.

A perfect day at Mallard Island Estate, with the bay sparkling, 150 of their favorite people gathered waterfront, and a surprise rainbow appearing during the reception as everyone celebrated the night away.

Brooke sent me the sweetest message thanking me for helping them feel calm, comfortable, and present throughout the day. Truthfully, that’s always the goal. Your wedding day should feel like your wedding day—not a photoshoot.

These two made it easy. So much joy, so much laughter, and so much love.
