where to start… first i want to say thank you to iowa photographer h and Morgan Jess | Iowa Makeup Artist for making me feel so comfortable and beautiful during one of the darkest times i’ve experienced this far. both of these women are highly respected and priority on my preferred vendors list, they absolutely killed it at this styled shoot. thank you for creating a safe space for me to show up and feel loved even on my loneliest days.

Hi friends! 💛

Just a quick heads up that I have been and may be a little slower than usual replying to messages over the next week or two.

Between my trip to Utah and now moving into our new home, life has been a little chaotic. My husband is on the road for work right now, so I'm packing and moving everything on my own, which has definitely kept me busy 😅

I am still working behind the scenes editing galleries, but messages and socials have had to take a bit of a back seat while I get through this move.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while I get settled. I promise I'll get back to everyone as soon as I can! 💛

I am back from Utah and back to work! Happy to be back home! I adore my clients in Utah so much and grateful for our time together, but man you can just feel the energy shift when you get back to the Midwest lol! Love it here 🫶🏻

I will be out of town and slow to replies until the 22nd 🫶🏻

I am excited and grateful to be seeing so many amazing clients while I'm in Utah! I will also be seeing most of my friends and family for the first time since moving to Iowa, so I will be focused on quality time and taking beautiful photos 🥰

Your wedding vendors should have fun at your wedding too.

Maybe that's a hot take, but hear me out 🤣

I'm not saying we should make the day about us, like at all lol.

But I do think the people you've chosen to spend your wedding day with should genuinely WANT to be there. They should be excited for you. They should celebrate with you!

Your joy becomes my joy for the day. I want to laugh with you, hype you up, cry during your vows, and celebrate every little moment right alongside you!

The photos are forever, but so is the experience you have with the people you've chosen to spend your day with. I want to be someone who leaves your wedding having added to the joy, not just documented it 💛

Between being in my little editing cave most days, purchasing our new home and preparing for 11 sessions next week while I'm in Utah... I've been a bit of a slacker on communication! 😅

Thanks to my amazing clients who remember there's just a human on the other end trying to ensure she gets all the things done, while trying to give you the best experience possible 🫶🏻

I absolutely adore my clients and this job but it's hard to keep up with sometimes! Promise I'm always doing my best to give you the best version of me possible 💛💛

And while I absolutely want to help you check one more thing off that (what feels like) never ending to do list... I also hope it's the part where you get to stop thinking about the list all together 💛

We'll go somewhere pretty, laugh at something completely ridiculous, probably embrace a little awkwardness, and create the kind of memories that remind you why you're planning this wedding in the first place!

Wedding week 💛

The week where your to-do list somehow gets longer every time you cross something off. The week where excitement, nerves, anticipation, joy, and maybe a few happy tears all seem to exist at the same time...

There are timelines to finalize, details to double check, bags to pack, people to coordinate, and a million little things pulling for your attention.

But in just a few short days, you'll be standing across from the person you love most, surrounded by the people who helped shape your story...

And suddenly, all the planning, all the emails, all the late nights, and all the stress will feel so small compared to the moment you get to say, "I do" 🫶🏻

So a reminder for your own wedding week: Take a deep breath and soak it in. This season only happens once 🥹
