Accidentally got this jumping spider wet before noticing it when watering today. Ran to grab the camera although I was sure it would be long gone but it stayed. I'm no expert but based on what I've read and the obvious chunkiness I think she's a pregnant girl! She came toward the camera and cleaned the water off herself showing her colorful chels (mouth parts) and look at those fangs!

I’ve had a horrible summer for photography. Totaled Jeep, lots of home improvement so no time, super hot or super rainy weather and owls seem to be in witness protection. Sitting in the yard waiting for the 3 hummingbirds to stop fighting long enough to take a photo and no one is working with me. Suddenly I feel and/or hear drops on my head, arm and package on my lap so I look up. 🤦🏻‍♀️
