Orange fountain sessions are officially underway! 🧡🤠

Nothing like an Oklahoma sunrise, a pretty cowgirl who’s about to graduate, and a photographer who’s had enough caffeine to convince herself that getting up before the sun is a personality trait. 😂

The sky understood the assignment. The fountain showed off. And this senior? Well, she made my job look easy.

For those of you who don’t know, I also co-own an event venue here in Stillwater, Oklahoma — The Twelves. 🤠

On top of Meaganish, I handle all of our marketing, photography, graphic design, social media, and about 47 other things that come with owning and operating an event venue.

Yesterday, we hosted our Fall Fest and welcomed 1,200 people through our gates. TWELVE HUNDRED.

I walked through my front door at 11:30 last night, and by 11 this morning, we were back at it.

Am I behind on projects across the board? Absolutely. Are there galleries to edit, designs to finish, emails to answer, and about a million things on my to-do list? You bet.

But then I get to stand there, camera in hand, listening to Sam Blasko sing “Second Wife” while looking around at a crowd of people enjoying something we’ve worked so hard to build.

And for a minute, the exhaustion and the never-ending to-do list take a backseat.

I’m beyond grateful for the people who continue to trust Meaganish with their memories, businesses, and brands, even when my turnaround times aren’t quite where I’d like them to be.

I’m equally grateful for every single person who showed up yesterday, and for the people behind the scenes who helped make it happen.

Busy, blessed, behind schedule, and probably one minor inconvenience away from needing another coffee. 😂

It’s a whole lot of work, but it’s a pretty dang good life. ❤️

There’s something about a room full of cattlemen taking their hats off, bowing their heads, and giving thanks before a meal.

Different ranches. Different generations. Different walks of life. But a whole lot of shared values.

We talk a lot about building the next generation of agriculturalists, but sometimes the most important things we pass down have nothing to do with cattle.

Faith. Respect. Gratitude. Tradition.

Agriculture has always been more than an industry to me. It’s the people, the relationships, the way we were raised, and the things we believe are worth preserving.

I spend a lot of time behind a camera documenting this way of life, and moments like this are exactly why.

Find the art. Even when life gets ugly. 🖤

Not every season of life is pretty. Some are messy, uncomfortable, and downright exhausting.

But there's still beauty in the middle of it all. Sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find it.

I think that's one of my favorite things about photography. It's taught me to pay attention to the things most people walk right past. To find something extraordinary in something completely ordinary.

The world doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. Neither does life.

A little Sunday reminder to find the art wherever you are. Even in the hard stuff.
