Caldwell County Sheriff's Office & Caldwell County Emergency Services need your help to locate a missing woman. Jewell Mitchell Shatley, 74, of Pisgah Church Road, was last seen this morning at 12:30 am.

Ms. Shatley is 5'4" tall with gray and brown hair and hazel eyes. She is wearing gray cargo pants and a light purple shirt. She may also be wearing a gray, dark blue, and black zip up jacket with a wolf on it. She needs medication and has been diagnosed with dementia.

Mother Nature put on quite a show over Caldwell County last evening!

As a thunderstorm rolled past Lenoir at sunset, the sky absolutely caught fire with incredible shades of orange, red, and gold. The dramatic colors provided the perfect backdrop for Caldwell County’s most visible tribute to America250 atop Hibriten Mountain.

Moments like these are a reminder that sometimes the best views can only be fully appreciated from above.

After several days of rain, it felt great to finally get back in the air and enjoy some sunshine! ☀️🚁

Yesterday, Foothills Aerial Services made a trip to one of North Carolina’s most iconic landmarks—Pilot Mountain. The views were incredible, with lush green landscapes, clear skies, and miles of beautiful scenery stretching across the Piedmont and foothills.

There’s nothing quite like seeing North Carolina from above, and Pilot Mountain never disappoints. We’re thankful for opportunities like these to capture the beauty of our state from a whole new perspective.

Foothills Aerial Services was in beautiful Yadkin County today! After an amazing lunch on the porch at the historic Shiloh General Store, we had to get in the air and capture some aerial views of this beloved local landmark along with neighboring Shiloh Baptist Church.

We also discovered a perfect spot to cool off during these hot summer days — the shaded swimming hole at Shore-Styers Mill Park! North Carolina is full of hidden gems, and we love showcasing them from a whole new perspective.
