After recently pulling my right shoulder out of its socket while taking night pictures at the beach I was asked, "Why do you go to the beach at night to take pictures"? I never go out expecting to get anything and most of the time comeback with absolutely nothing. It's always those photos that happen unexpectedly and that you would have missed if you hadn't taken those thousands of useless photos before. Sometimes you just have to showup and experiment. Full Moon, Panama City Beach, Florida.

I came across some old photos that I liked. This was taken early in the morning as I was driving into Jacksonville County, Fla. I liked the depth of the layers of fog contrasting with layers of trees. I pulled over on I-95 and took this with a Nikon F2, film camera, approximately 35 years ago.

I haven't been taking pictures just for enjoyment for a long time. I have never belonged to a photo club before but last week I joined one. Last night we went to a place in Mocksville that had a field of flowers and I took the following pictures.

On Jan 02, 2012, Mary and I were staying at Port Canaveral, Fla. when they had a night launch of the Falcon 9 rocket. We went down to the beach and were about one mile from the launch pad. I set up a long time exposure, with my camera on a tripod, to get the trail of the rocket and came up with this photo.
