What if family photos were about more than perfect poses, coordinated outfits, and bribing smiles with a trip for ice cream afterward?

I believe family photos should tell a story. Not just create a moment for the camera.

Of course, we’ll get the smiling photo everyone wants for the wall. But instead of spending your entire session focused on poses, let’s focus on the moments that already make your family yours.

The way your toddler reaches for your hand. The giggles between siblings. The way your child curls up in your lap. The little things that might seem ordinary now, but are the very things you’ll want to remember years from now.

And maybe the best part? Less pressure. Less worrying about whether everyone is looking at the camera. Less trying to force a perfect moment. More space to simply be together.

Because the best family photos aren’t just about how your family looked. They’re about who your family was in this season of life.

I spent 8 hours today refreshing all the file names on my website so Google knows I’m a photographer in Starkville, Mississippi. 🤩 I also updated some pictures. So, here’s a screenshot and a plea… if you have had a session with me, I’d be honored if you’d right me a review (and maybe mention the town we took pictures in when you do… jkjk… kinda)

Being a photographer is quite literally my favorite thing, even on days where the task leaves me cross eyed and wondering if it worked!

Also, huge shout out to all of you for always remembering me when your friends ask for recommendations. It’s never lost on me when my contact sheet says “referred by ___.”

The heart behind “The Summer Series” - Now Booking!

I lost my dad unexpectedly to COVID 5 years ago in August, it was then I realized just how precious every picture I had suddenly became the most prized possession that I own. I flipped through memory books, and while I loved the family portraits, my favorites were always the candid moments that happened on an ordinary day.

So it changed the way I photographed my family.
And if you’ve ever had a full family session, you know it changed the way I photographed yours too.

Last summer, I got my grandparents loaded up and we went to the garden. They picked vegetables like they always do, we laughed, and I clicked my camera. They will always be my favorite pictures of them.

So here we are. Summer of 2026. And this year, I want to do the same for you and your family. I want to join you on the everyday moments, capturing your family through my eyes. Showing the love, the laughter, the chaos, and the ordinary. Because it’s these moments that truly tell our story the best.

So invite me along, if you need ideas on what to do, I have more than enough. Let’s not create magic, let’s capture it as it unfolds. So years from now, when you’re flipping through albums. You smile, laugh, and remember how it felt (not just how they looked).

Max and Bri’s wedding day was nothing short of a dream (and full of so many answered prayers)! It was such a joy to capture, and they trusted me every step of the way.

We did portraits pre-ceremony (without Max seeing Bri, but you would never know) just incase the storms came. Those pictures are hands down some of my favorite from the day! Then timing worked out perfectly, as we took pictures on the pier at sunset, that somehow landed us on a strangers boat. It was straight out of a movie.

Bri and Max, they are easy to celebrate and so incredibly loved. Here’s a small glimpse into the magic of their day 🤍
