I had to put a little Ciana on your feed today because LOOK AT THIS GIRL. šŸ„¹šŸ¤

Her expressions. That smile. Those big blue eyes. I seriously could not narrow these down. šŸ˜‚ She is just pure sunshine, and Iā€™m pretty sure looking through these will make your day better.

Cake Smash at the end of the post. Happy first birthday, sweet Ciana! šŸ¤

ONE. šŸ„¹ How does that first year somehow feel like the longest and shortest year of your life?

First birthday sessions are one of my favorite milestones because your baby is still so little, but suddenly there is SO much personality there. The smiles, the little teeth, the chunky legs, the way they sit and crawl and clap and scrunch their noseā€”all of those tiny things that feel completely normal right now will change so quickly.

If thereā€™s one year worth making sure you document, that first birthday is a pretty special one.

I meanā€¦ could they be any sweeter?! šŸ„¹šŸ¤I adore this family so much.

Also, while Iā€™m sharing a newborn sessionā€”if youā€™re pregnant, it is never too early to reach out! I hear from so many moms who meant to book newborn photos, but pregnancy got busy, baby came, and suddenly those first few weeks were gone. Has that happened to any of you? Did you end up skipping newborn photos because you just never got around to booking them?

I only take 4ā€“6 newborns a month, which gives us time to plan your session, talk through wardrobe and all the little details, and make the whole experience feel fun and easy instead of one more thing to figure out with a brand new baby. šŸ¤

I think this is what I love most about family sessions.

The little hand on her daddy's face. The way she looks at her mama. The snuggles. The silly. Babies being passed back and forth. Everyone laughing and moving and loving on each other.

Just your family, exactly as they are right now. šŸ¤

The very last summer family session of the year šŸ„¹šŸ¤

And apparently summer wanted to make sure we REALLY remembered her because this was easily the hottest session I photographed all year šŸ˜‚

But goodness, it was beautiful. Just had to share a handful of magical images from their gallery.

Now for a little break of Sunset Sessions before my fall season begins in September! If youā€™re still hoping for a fall session, get on my waiting listā€”I occasionally have cancellations, and Iā€™m also thinking about adding a mini session night this year. šŸ‚
