✨ A little wedding planning secret… ✨

When you book your wedding at Fort Osage Christmas Tree Farm, your engagement session with me is included as a gift from the venue. I love that this partnership gives every couple the chance to receive beautiful, magazine-worthy engagement photos at no cost to them and to step into a moment where they simply get to slow down, soak each other in, and feel like the stars of their own fairytale.

When Madison reached out, she had one request:
“I want it to feel like a fairytale.”

So we leaned into soft movement, romantic light, towering pines, and a dress that looked like it belonged in the pages of a storybook. Every image feels dreamy, timeless, and full of the kind of love that makes you believe in happily ever after.

And honestly… I think we nailed it. ✨

Now I get the absolute honor of taking everything we created here and making those same fairytale dreams come to life on their wedding day. I already know it’s going to be unforgettable.

Your engagement photos should feel like you, not like a Pinterest copy. ✨

This is exactly why I do engagement sessions differently.

I’m not chasing stiff poses or generic pretty pictures. I’m paying attention to your style, your energy, the little details, the things you’re into, and the way you naturally move together. That’s what turns a session into something that actually feels personal.

These images are such a perfect example of that. The vintage camera, the records, the scooter, the fashion, the mood, the movement — every part of this session feels like its own little world. It feels stylish, playful, cinematic, and most importantly, like them.

That story-driven approach is how you get photos that don’t just look good in the moment, but still feel honest and special years from now. And that is always the goal for me. 🤍

For one week, I’ll be traveling through Spain and honestly… photographing elopements in places like this feels like a dream I never want to wake up from.

There is just something about an elopement. The intention. The freedom. The way it strips everything back to what matters most and lets the story breathe. It feels adventurous, intimate, emotional, and wildly beautiful all at once. These kinds of days will forever have my heart.

Did someone say THE COVER?! 🤍✨

This styled shoot started as a creative spark and turned into the 2025 cover of .kansascity and I still can’t get over it.

And while I’ve been blessed to be featured in magazines and even land more than a handful of covers, I can promise you this will absolutely never get old. It feels like the biggest reminder that hard work, heart, and community really do matter.

I’ve always believed the best images happen when someone feels truly seen. Not just photographed but fully felt. Like they can breathe, take up space, and step into their beauty without shrinking for anyone.

Morgan is the kind of woman who makes that magic easy. She’s genuinely incredible a powerful, graceful human, an amazing mother, and a business owner who carries so much heart. Getting to help her shine reminded me why I love what I do. I get to lift people up, celebrate them loudly, and fill my creative cup in the process.

And none of it happens without the vendors who bring every detail to life with so much intention. Creating alongside artists like this is everything.

✨Maryn and Abhilash absolutely owned Hotel President in downtown Kansas City!✨

Old Hollywood energy, a gown that stopped people in their tracks, velvet tux perfection, those iconic red soles, and a day that felt equal parts elegant and wildly fun. They met because a college roommate set them up, survived two years of long distance with nonstop travel, graduated undergrad together, and then he proposed at the pergola behind her house on their two year anniversary. They bring that same intentional energy into everything they do and you can feel it in every photo.

What I loved most though was how they show up for each other. Constant respect. Constant support. The kind of love that makes you laugh, relax, and fully enjoy the moment. Also Gucci and Max absolutely deserved honorary guest status because those two dogs are clearly the real VIPs.

✨YOU CANNOT DISAGREE WITH ME!✨

When we think about weddings, I think we often picture the magazine cover images. The perfectly posed portraits, the flawless details, the “stop scrolling” shots.

But what truly makes up the day are the moments that don’t always get the most Instagram attention. And somehow… they often become the favorite images of a lifetime.

The getting ready chaos with your favorite people in the room. The deep breaths you take when you think no one is watching. The shaky hands fixing a dress strap. The “come here” hugs that last a little longer than normal because everyone knows this day is a big one.

The tearful first looks that make you laugh while crying because your heart can’t decide which emotion to pick.
The ridiculous, unhinged, joyful parts too. Dancing in your underwear like it’s a perfectly reasonable decision. Screaming lyrics with your whole chest. And then, without warning, you’re singing on the band’s mic while dancing on what will become your most favorite day.

Maggie + Bree, your wedding felt like fairytales (and romcoms -bc of that one mishap 🤣 iykyk) are real life in the most beautiful way. Loud, tender, hilarious, emotional, and full of love that made the entire room feel it.

I could make 10 posts like this and still not share all their insanely beautiful and sentimental in-between moments.

I knew there was going to be a reason to finally use all of these ridiculous, joyful, behind-the-scenes photos of myself 🤍

I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve been nominated for SIX Kansas City Wedding Vendor Choice Awards by Wed KC and truly, each one means something different and deeply personal to me:

2025 has been unforgettable in every sense of the word. It brought so much beauty, growth, challenge, healing, and clarity.

I had the privilege of capturing the most honest, emotional, wildly real love stories — and some of those couples turned into dear friends and steady, grounding people in my life.

This year taught me hard lessons in business and friendship. It also helped solidify who I am, how I show up, and who I want to continue becoming. Growth isn’t always gentle, but it’s always worth it.

Just being nominated for these awards feels humbling and surreal. I cried happy tears as every single email hit my inbox = full heart.

And while one of the nominations is for Best VIP Experience, the real VIPs are the fellow vendors, the planners, coordinators, florists, designers, DJs, HMU artists, venues, and creatives who pour an insane amount of work, care, and love into every single couple, wedding, and event. Getting to work alongside people like you is one of the greatest privileges of this job.

And if you really know me, you know the last photo in this carousel is the reason I keep going after everything it takes to run a small business built on love, connection, and showing up fully. My little love who shares me with this dream and reminds me every day why it matters.
