10/17/2026 - At approximately 1:05 p.m., the Billings Fire Protection District, Clever Fire Protection District, West Republic Fire Protection District, Brookline Fire Protection District, Willard Fire Protection District, Cox Ambulance, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to W. Farm Road 148 for a reported barn fire involving gasoline stored inside the structure. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, and the fire was successfully put out. No injuries were reported.

House Fire – West Swan Street | Springfield, Missouri

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on October 13, 2026, Springfield, Missouri, dispatch received multiple calls reporting a house fire on West Swan Street, prompting a full response from Stations 9 and 6.

Upon arrival, crews encountered a fully involved structure and immediately began fire suppression efforts.

During the incident, firefighters successfully rescued two dogs from the burning building and brought them to safety.

No injuries were reported among firefighters or residents.

We commend the crews for their efforts in bringing the incident under control and safely rescuing the two dogs.

The fire was reportedly producing enough heat to melt the siding on the house, prompting a response from local emergency personnel.

10/5/2026 - At approximately 7:25 p.m., the Battlefield Fire Department responded to the area of S. Farm Rd. 133 and W. Wash*ta St. for a reported trailer fire in front of a residence. Firefighters arrived to find a flatbed trailer with what appeared to be a brush pile actively burning. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, and the fire was successfully put out. No injuries were reported.

10/3/2026 - At approximately 5:00 p.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Republic Police Department responded to the on-ramp of James River Freeway and Brookline Avenue for reports of a wrong-way driver possibly operating while intoxicated. The driver was reportedly traveling westbound on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes of James River Freeway and was traveling at speeds exceeding 90 mph at one point. The driver later corrected into the proper lanes, where the vehicle was stopped by law enforcement.

The driver was administered field sobriety tests and was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the jail. No injuries were reported.

10/2/2026 - At approximately 10:27 p.m., the Springfield Fire Department, Mercy EMS, and first responders were dispatched to Club Rodeo, located at 2032 W. Bennett St., for reports of a person repeatedly fainting. The individual later regained consciousness and received medical attention from responding personnel.
