The hardest part of being a newborn photographer isn’t the four hours of lifting, moving and convincing a fresh-out-of-the-womb baby to relax his delicate fingers and curl up, all while sitting in front of a heater blowing 80 degrees. recious cargo is safe in the hands of a total stranger in a house they’ve never been. The most difficult part of newborn photography is culling the images, staring at them for hours on end and not shedding tears of happiness and joy seeing what beauty lies in creating a child. There is something so raw, emotional and real about newborn photography that it becomes difficult to put into words. The ultimate reward is when these cherished newborns return to document their growth. Their eyes are now open and alert to their surroundings, their cooing has now turned to sweet babbles and words that flow endlessly from a smiling little mouth and their features are more prominent which allows viewers to see their growth. The worry of my clients has now turned into excitement as they get to watch their sessions unfold and see photographs of their ever-changing family. My goal as the photographer of your newborn, children and family is to preserve and capture that sense of innocence. I want your pictures to bring back those sweet sounds and smells of your baby. The images will be organic, honest and creative. When you look back at your images years from now, my goal is for you to remember your child as precious and delicate and your family as growing and new.
