Exciting news!

Folks I am here this evening to share some FANTASTIC news with you!!

I have received word from a GLF crew member who told me the Arthur M Anderson will be heading into drydock within the next couple of weeks. She is one of the crew who will be bringing her there so it's solid info!! An exact date has not been set but apparently within the first 10 days of November is the plan. It is apparently not a secret and I was given permission to share this news so let the celebrations begin!!!

The Anderson has not sailed since she went into layup in Toledo a couple of seasons ago. There has been much speculation about her future but as of right now her future looks bright!! Now we have to hope that maybe next year we will see the Philip R Clarke come back out as well!! That would be the icing on the cake!!

Another classic is coming back into service!! I can't wait!!

**This photo is from January of 2024 here in Sault Ste Marie which was the last time she sailed... At the end of the season she went to Toledo and has been there since**

Back to some pictures from our Algonac trip, next up was the 1,000 footer Edwin H. Gott on August 13th. We saw her down bound a couple days prior so it was nice to catch them up bound too.

Got to finally see a boat today while hanging out with some other boatnerds! Interlake Steamship Company’s Herbert C. Jackson happened to be in Fairport Harbor before we got together and we got to see her departure! Even got a salute!

Holy smokes! Just saw that I hit 1,000 followers! We did it, that is so cool! I am so honored to have you all along for the ride! When I started this page a couple years ago, I didn’t think much about having so many people following, so seeing 1,000 of you is so cool. Not only that, but in the past couple years, I have had so many cool opportunities for pictures and met so many amazing people. That’s what I look forward to the most. So with that, I just want to say a huge thank you to you awesome people!😊🥳🎉

A new one for me was Canada Steamship Lines's Spruceglen. She was down bound on the St. Clair River on August 13th, doing her usual Sorel-Thunder Bay shuttle.

Blair McKeil was the first ship of the morning on August 13th. She was down bound on her way through Algonac.

Always a pleasure to see Interlake Steamship Company's classic laker Kaye E. Barker. Even better to see her somewhere other than Cleveland! Here she was as she sailed through Algonac on August 12th.

A break from the solo ships brought the Federal Katsura downbound from Lake Huron meeting Kaye E. Barker upbound from Lake Erie. The mid day sun made for some tough angles though, these were the best that came out.
