Day 18 📸

There’s something so refreshing about the first signs of spring. After a long season of cold and stillness, everything starts to bloom again, reminding us that new beginnings are always possible.

It’s a chance to start fresh, to grow, and to embrace what’s ahead. Sometimes all we need is a little sunshine and a reminder that brighter days are coming. 🌸

Day 17 📸

Life is made up of milestones—some big, some small, but all meaningful in their own way. From weddings, to welcoming a new baby, to birthdays and graduations… these are the moments that mark time in the most beautiful way.

They can feel small in the moment, like just another day, but they pass so quickly. Before you know it, you’re looking back wondering how time moved so fast. That’s why capturing these memories is so important—because one day, they won’t just be moments… they’ll be everything.💛

Day 16 📸

Friendship is made up of moments like this, the simple ones that don’t feel like a big deal at the time, but somehow end up meaning everything later.

The laughs, the conversations, the time spent just being together… those are the memories that stick with you. The ones you’ll look back on years from now and be so thankful you had.

Life moves fast, but the people you share it with are what make it so special. Don’t forget to hold onto those moments and the memories you’re creating along the way. 💛

Day 15 📸

Cancer doesn’t only affect humans, it can take our furry friends too. This is R***r and he was the bestest boy ❤️ My sister and brother in law unfortunately lost this sweet guy earlier this year.

Our pets become so much more than just animals. They become family. They become our companions, our comfort, and sometimes even feel like our kids. They love us in the most pure and unconditional way. Honestly, I’ve always thought it’s unfair that their lives are so much shorter than ours, because they touch our hearts and heal us in ways we didn’t even realize we needed.

I’ve had the honor of photographing a few incredible animals before they crossed the rainbow bridge, and while those moments are never easy, I know that someday those images will mean the world to the people who loved them most.🐾

Day 14 📸

Today’s photos are all about the little details. The shoes kicked off under the table during the reception, tissues waiting for happy tears during the ceremony, the fun sunglasses on the sweetheart table, and the wine glasses shared during dinner.

So many times after a wedding, couples reach out and say something like, “We loved seeing all the little things you captured, we didn't even think about getting photos of that!”

The truth is, on a wedding day everything moves so fast. You’re wrapped up in the emotions, the excitement, the people you love most and it’s impossible to notice every small moment happening around you. But those little details matter. They’re part of the story you spent months (sometimes years) planning.

The tiny touches that made your day uniquely yours. Capturing them means you get to go back later and relive not just the big moments but the quiet, beautiful details that made the day complete. ❤️

Day 13 📸

I’m still playing catch-up from my posting mix-up, but I wanted to make sure this one was included today because it honors and celebrates a woman who meant so much to me. Today would have been her 85th birthday.

This is my Grandma Cookie. Sadly, ovarian cancer took her from us almost 31 years ago, when she was only 54. I was still fairly young when we lost her, but I have so many amazing memories with her that I will always hold close to my heart.

Long before she was actually diagnosed, she brought up some very concerning symptoms to her doctor but was brushed off and told it was just part of getting older. While she still felt like something wasn’t right, she never pushed further. By the time they finally discovered the cancer, it had already progressed quite a bit.

Ladies, this is a reminder that if you ever feel like something is wrong and you’re dismissed by a doctor, please don’t ignore that feeling. Find another doctor who will listen and never stop advocating for yourself.

Grandma is just one of many reasons I chose to participate in this fundraiser. There is still time to donate if you would like, but as always there is absolutely no pressure. I truly appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read these posts—and thank you so much to everyone who has donated, liked, and shared along the way. 💛

Day 12 📸

Following along with what I shared yesterday, I really try to figure out who my clients are and create photos that show their personality—especially with senior sessions.

I love finding creative ways to capture who they are, or in this case, who they’re working to become. Sessions like this are such a fun challenge because every senior has their own story, their own passions, and their own path ahead. Being able to incorporate that into their photos makes each session completely unique.

While I love photography in general, senior sessions are quickly becoming one of my favorites. 💛

Day 11 📸

One of my absolute favorite parts of photography is helping bring my clients’ ideas to life. When we started planning Maria’s maternity session, she sent me an image she loved and I immediately knew we had to try to recreate that feeling.

Now… here’s the part I don’t love to admit. Chickens scare the crap out of me. Like, truly, there's a whole story behind it 😂 But sometimes you have to face your fears for the sake of creating something special.

So I sucked it up, stepped into the chicken chaos, and the images we created together turned out to be nothing short of amazing.🐔📷💛
