This field has held so many of the most tender chapters of our journey to start a family, so it felt only right to return here for our very first outdoor family session. 💐
Two years ago, I told Ryan I was pregnant for the first time right in this beautiful field. A year later, we came back here to say goodbye to our son and spread his ashes. And then, after so much heartbreak and so many prayers, we returned once more to take our announcement photos when we found out we were expecting Evelyn.
And now, somehow, we are here again.
Only this time, she is in our arms. Our little girl. Our answered prayer. The tiny person we dreamed about through so many tears, standing in the middle of a place that has witnessed so much of our story.
We will continue coming back to this field for years to come to watch our little Beanie run through these same flowers, grow taller, laugh louder, and make memories here, while never forgetting the moments that came before her so that she could be earthside with us.
Because this field has held our heartbreak. It has held our hope. And now, it gets to hold our happiest memories, too. 🤍
