Welcome to K. If you're looking for a photographer who watches the clock, rushes you through a session, and sends you home with a bunch of digital files to figure out for yourself, that's probably not me. My Sinking Spring studio specializes in older babies, first birthdays, children

, families, and the area's only Dream Dress Experience. Rather than handing over a gallery and wishing you luck, I'll help you choose the prints and products that are right for your family and your home. Others need a little time to warm up, tell me about their favorite dinosaur, show off a loose tooth, or decide whether they like me first. I've learned over the last 17 years that the best photos usually happen when kids are allowed to be themselves 💙

Anyone else wake up today and think...."September already" ?! 😭

If you've been meaning to plan your photo session but time kept passing, you'll want to schedule a time to meet up in September!

Throughout this month, I'm gifting a 16x20 with every print collection! Valid for any sessions scheduled before the end of the year.

Even better, this isn't limited to JUST Dream Dress Experience, so let's get those family photos you've been putting off!

Let's get together, have some ice cream, and plan to make memories https://buff.ly/lDYEg5w

Something has been bothering me lately and last night was a pretty good example of why.

When did disagreeing with someone on Facebook turn into trying to destroy their livelihood?

Last night I left a completely innocent comment on a post. I wasn't rude or insulting anyone. I made a factual statement that people didn't like. By this morning I had been called horrible names and my photography business had been dragged into it, meaning complete strangers dug through my personal profile looking for ammunition.

And I'm seeing this happen more and more with small businesses. Someone disagrees with a business and suddenly people are rallying others to leave 1-star reviews.

Last week I watched it happen to a venue where the customer had broken the contract and wasn't entitled to a full refund. People who had nothing to do with the situation were trying to get everyone to leave 1-star reviews in response.

You can disagree with someone. You can decide not to use their business. You can share your own experience. But now there seems to be a very short distance between "I don't like this" and "let's hurt this person."

There is a person on the other side of that business. There are bills, families, years of work, and a whole lot of life tied up in it.

Maybe we need to remember that before deciding someone's livelihood should be part of the punishment for saying something we don't like.

The Dream Dress Experience isn't a princess session....but sometimes a girl just wants to be royalty!

What's your daughter's favorite princess? I'd love to know if it's the same as YOUR favorite!

(Mine is Belle!)

Parents who have been to my studio. How long does it typically take for your kids to take their shoes off when they walk in? 😅

Sometime little girls with long hairwill visist the studio and I can't help but share that when I was around her age, my hair grew right to my knees.

Here I am, around age 9. My hair is pulled up, so you can easily imagine how long it actually was. I finally decided to have my first-ever haircut at age 11.

I was cleaning out my computer and organizing old files when I realized I had photos from 2018, and every year after that, I had never even edited!

I hadn’t touched my own photos in years, let alone printed them. I kept thinking I’d get to them eventually...but I never did.

And honestly, this is one of the reasons I include prints with my sessions, instead of just handing you a bunch of digital files and wishing you good luck.

Because I’m guilty of it, too.

It’s so easy to think you’ll get around to it, then years later you find an old folder full of memories that never made it off the computer...

Calling all dance moms!

You survive the costumes, the hairspray, and the endless rehearsals. You block out your calendar, pencil in “dance” nearly every day. You cheer through every stumble and know every eight-count. After all that, dance photo day rolls in and hands your kid five minutes? SERIOUSLY?!

They spend the year working on their technique, building confidence, and showing up even when it was hard. That kind of commitment deserves more than a rushed photo and a “next in line.”

What if they had their time in the spotlight they’ve earned? To really show what they’ve been working so hard on? This isn’t a two-pose and done kind of thing. The Dance Experience is an opportunity for your dancer to feel proud, seen, and celebrated for who they are and what they’ve accomplished 💙
