Real talk from behind the camera...
These photos were supposed to be my sample images for this year's 4th of July minis.
The plan sounded great in my head. The backdrop? Not quite what I envisioned. My 3-year-old? Absolutely not interested. And my 12-year-old... well, let's just say she's giving me strong teenager energy lately. 😂
By the time we were done, I was convinced the whole thing had been a bust.
But when I sat down to look through the images, I realized something.
The best moments weren't the perfectly posed ones. They were the laughs, the movement, the personalities, and the little pieces of who my girls are right now.
Sometimes things don't go according to plan. Sometimes the setup isn't perfect. Sometimes the kids aren't cooperating. Sometimes you have to pivot and work with what you've got.
And honestly? That's a lot like life.
So while I'm not sure these minis will make it onto my schedule this year, I'm grateful I pushed through the chaos and captured these memories anyway... because my own kids are rarely in front of my camera, and these imperfect moments ended up being my favorite part.
Here's your reminder that not everything has to be perfect to be beautiful. ❤️
