Beautiful portraits were never meant to live on a hard drive.

They were meant to be seen. To become part of your home. To remind you of the people, the moments, and the seasons of life that matter most.

There’s something different about walking past a portrait of someone you love every single day.

And years from now? That portrait will only become more meaningful.

That’s why I believe so strongly in finished portrait artwork. Not just beautiful photographs, but something tangible you can enjoy today and pass down tomorrow.

Print them. Frame them. Live with them.

Photographer is just one of the many hats I wear.

Artist, business owner, wife, mom, dreamer, professional overthinker, and someone who usually has about 47 things going on at once. 😂

But I wouldn’t trade this creative, sometimes chaotic, always evolving life for anything.

I'm usually the one behind the camera, so it's always a little different when the spotlight turns my way!

I recently had the honor of being featured in the Denison Area Chamber of Commerce Member Spotlight, and it gave me a chance to reflect on the journey of building Courtney Mitchell Photography and the community that has been such an important part of it all.

After more than 17 years in business, one thing hasn't changed: I'm incredibly grateful to do what I love, right here in Texoma.

A big thank-you to the Denison Area Chamber for the feature and for the work they do to support our regional business community!

The w**e stroll we’ve been waiting for since last October is FINALLY HERE! Grab your friends and get ready for Stroll on the Square: Around the World tonight in Downtown Sherman!
