I was entrusted to photograph one of the most natural, magical, & incredible acts of nourishment & love there is, & one I also hold dear especially close to my own heart - a pure moment between mom & baby. 🤍✨

August is National Breastfeeding Month, & as I lay here pregnant (& very sick) with what may very well be my final go-round with pregnancy, I can’t help but think: wow. I have spent 34 months of my life breastfeeding, & will soon be spending many more months at it here again. &, my gosh, what an especially taxing yet rewarding job just breastfeeding alone is on the body, mind, & soul - & moms do it every single day, amidst a million other jobs & tasks - like it’s nothing.

If you’re breastfeeding right now at this moment in your life, have breastfed before, will again, or are hoping to in the future - I am damn proud of you. You are purely amazing to me, & to your baby, & I hope this month especially, those around you support & encourage you with this reminder.
