The sweet big sister in this photo became a teenager today. Does anyone have advice to process time? To me, 30 years ago means the '70s...even though logic tells me that's not possible since we are approaching 2025. No amount of Gen Z slang can save me from saying things like, "When I was your age..." and have it not make me feel like I need a cane and the 4pm dinner special.

I made dinner from scratch tonight, which cancels out the multiple evenings of fast food and cereal nights we had this week. Every evening, I have a burst of energy where I am able to hyper-focus my energy into getting the house in order. It's like a Hail Mary to combat whatever I procrastinate throughout the day.

The dishwasher and washing machines are rhythmically humming, and everyone else is asleep already. I'm content knowing that I'll have a fresh load of laundry to fold in the morning as I concede to yet another *riveting* episode of Daniel Tiger. (Because yes: I negotiate and give in to toddler terrorists).

I'm curious... what do you consider yourself to be?

Sweater weather, cuddle weather... any excuse to slow down and be cozy...I'm here for it.

I found myself going through my photo archives and realized that even though I put a pause on client work for the past couple of years, I still have so much to share. I find deep fulfillment and joy in photography. It's always a struggle to allow myself to take space, so here I am...giving myself permission to be seen again.

(And you likely scheduled the photographer so you better get your money's worth, eh? 🙃) P.S. you don't need to change anything about yourself before your family photos. You are already everything enough.
