❄️ Blizzard of 2026 ❄️

Day three of our street not being plowed out. The feelings of sheer terror are starting to set in. What if there’s an emergency?

I FaceTime my neighbor daily. Yesterday (Tuesday) she was telling me that her husband was just waiting by the front door for a plow to come by. I had just read online that our town was going to start plowing neighborhoods at the very earliest on Friday (or end of the week). My neighbor looked at me with great sadness and said he really needs to be at Rhode Island Hospital right now.

So I hang up the phone with her. I text my husband who is already outside snowblowing. I posted a message to our neighborhood media page asking for help from other neighbors. My husband, the Doctor and another neighbor start clearing the top of our street. Within forty-five minutes I turn around and see at least four other neighbors doing the bottom half of our street. From start to finish, it took eight men with only snowblowers, three hours to remove 32 inches of snow for one tiny path to get out to the main road. What a site to witness through my lens! 📷

Neighbors on a mission to clear up our street as fast as they could to get our Doctor to his shift at the hospital. Seekonk-ians doing amazing things.
