ENTRY 011: THE LAST GOODNIGHT

The clock strikes midnight.

The party is finally over.

The lights are dim. The pillows are scattered. The bedroom is quiet, save for the faint sound of someone humming in the darkness.

You thought everyone had gone home.

But one guest is still awake.

Dressed in pink, surrounded by forgotten dreams and remnants of a slumber party, she waits for morning to come.

Her eyes are heavy. Her smile is sweet. And although she looks ready for bed, something tells you that sleep isn't the only thing waiting in the dark.

"You're out!"

"I am? Yay! I mean boo! I think I'm going to go into the bedroom and cry."

Some nightmares are frightening. Others are simply too tired to care.

And with that, our Spooktober journey comes to an end. From strange empty spaces to forgotten parties and one final sleepy encounter, every entry has been another little glimpse into the beautifully strange side of Halloween.

ENTRY 010: THE LAST SEAT

The party is over.

The chairs are empty. The umbrellas are closed.

The garden lights still glow in the darkness.

You recognize this backyard.

You've spent countless evenings here.

But tonight, something is watching from beyond the lights.

You hear a chair scrape across the grass.

Nobody is there.

At least, nobody you can see.

ENTRY 009: THE PATH THROUGH THE WOODS

You've walked this path before.

The trees seem familiar, but something feels different.

The air is still. The forest is quiet.

A small building waits at the end of the trail.

You can't remember seeing it before.

But somehow, you know it's been waiting for you.

Do you go inside?

ENTRY 008: THE STAIRS TO NOWHERE

You take the first step.

Then another.

But something isn't right.

The stairs twist above you, beneath you, and in every direction imaginable.

Doors lead to impossible places. Corridors loop back on themselves.

You keep climbing, but are you actually getting anywhere?

Somewhere in this endless maze, there's an exit.

At least, that's what you keep telling yourself.

The only way out is up.

But the stairs never end.

ENTRY 007: THE SPACE BETWEEN

You know this place.

Or at least, you think you do.

The paths twist and turn, leading somewhere you can't quite remember.

Familiar shapes. Strange patterns. Fragments of places you've seen before.

You keep walking, hoping to find your way out.

But every turn brings you somewhere different.

No beginning. No end.

Just an endless journey between here and there.

Somewhere along the way, you forgot where you were going.

ENTRY 006: THE GARAGE THAT NEVER ENDS

You recognize this place.

You've parked here before.

But something is different.

The lights are still on. The exit is nowhere to be seen.

Your footsteps echo behind you.

You stop.

They keep walking.

A voice comes from the darkness:

"Why did you come back?"

You look toward the far wall.

There's a door now.

And someone on the other side is knocking.

Three times.

Then your phone vibrates:

"Vehicle unlocked."

You don't own a car.

But something just started the engine.

You're not going anywhere.
