📏 Five extra inches of camera height from one simple tripod adjustment. Bring the tripod legs closer together, keeping them spread just wide enough to stand securely. This raises the center of your camera lens from 6'3" to 6'8" without extending the tripod any higher. 📷

💨 Windy day? Use your judgment. ⚠️ Bringing the legs closer together makes the tripod less stable. If there's any risk of tipping, spread the legs back out. No shot is worth a camera on the driveway.

🏡 Inside the home, don't shoot from up there. Set the center of the lens level with the center of the light switch panel. 💡 That's the rule of thumb behind every room we photograph.

📱 Same rule works for FSBO sellers shooting their own listing photos with a phone on a tripod.

🏡 A typical Gering home is worth $28,097 more than one in Scottsbluff. And the top town on this map isn't even in Nebraska. 👀

📊 I pulled Zillow's latest typical home values for the 7 towns we shoot in across the Nebraska Panhandle and Eastern Wyoming. The data runs through September 30, 2026.

🏆 Here's how they rank:

🥇 1. Torrington, Wyoming: $231,783 (down 1.0% in a year) 📉
🥈 2. Gering: $213,885 (up 2.2%) 📈
🥉 3. Chadron: $197,733 (up 4.9%) 📈
🏡 4. Scottsbluff: $185,788 (up 3.4%) 📈
🏡 5. Alliance: $181,057 (up 3.4%) 📈
🏡 6. Sidney: $175,292 (up 6.8%) 📈
🏡 7. Kimball: $167,017 (up 5.1%) 📈

📉 Torrington is the only town that slipped. 🚀 Sidney grew the fastest. Kimball is still the most affordable, and it's the second-fastest climber.

🏘️ If you've been watching Scottsbluff home values, the gap with Gering is the story. Same valley, one river apart, and a $28,097 difference for a typical home. 💰

📌 One thing to know: these are typical home values, not sale prices. Zillow estimates what the middle third of homes in each town is worth, so one big ranch sale or one cheap fixer-upper doesn't swing the number. Wyoming keeps sale prices off the public record, so this is the only fair way to line all 7 towns up side by side.
