SunnyFreckles Photography HELLO! My name is Jessica Mikoloyck! I hang out most of my days in the Panhandle of the great state of Nebraska! I thank you so much for visiting! Jes.

It's not as flat as everyone says it is; we love our corn and some days can be found happy dancing in the nearest sunflower field in the summer! I have two lil' bambinos and a husband who keeps our household moving as I am out photographing the world! He is kind of the most amazing guy ever, and our children are the absolute best kiddos! They keep us laughing every single day and it is the best thing to come home to every night! I am not a big fan of listing in any sort of order certain specialties what I photograph; what I can say out loud is that I adore this beautiful planet and my favorite thing about my job is photographing the super cool humans who live on it! Yesterday I shared about the Business.

Today I share about the Community.

It is not lost on me how absolutely supportive our creatives are of one another here in the Panhandle!

I have had calls at 2am with photographers as we've dealt with equipment failure or editing questions.

I have stopped sessions to run across the street just to give another photographer a quick hug.

I have stopped other photographer sessions blaring my horn as I pass them by, waving out the window like a crazy person ;)

I've been asked (also...PAUSE. Ewwww. I really hate the whole, "People ask me..." ;) BUT! It is important to me to share this) how I feel going to my friends or families weddings and simply being a guest: I love it all! I love capturing weddings and I love attending them, truly there is no difference! Either way, we are all there to celebrate the love of our favorite people and share the day with each other!

There is literally room for us all and to my fellow creatives:

CALL ME if you need me, thank you for letting me hug you (even on the sweatiest of summer evenings), honk on your way by and THANK YOU for all of the memories that WE get to make together along the way!

You are all awesome humans and sharing this planet with you is kind of my favorite!

This month is my 16th year in business and getting the email that SunnyFreckles Photography was voted as Best Photographer in the 2026 Star-Herald Best of the West, well...let's talk about it!

I sent a text to a very dear friend of mine Friday evening who was the reason SunnyFreckles not only began but also got off the ground, sharing my gratitude for her and her husband.

Had it not been for them, their love and support and Sunny's very first adventure all over our valley for their Engagement session, I truly would not have been where I was Friday...sitting at a dinner table in Estes Park, Colorado enjoying our break during yet another incredible Wedding that I was so blessed to be asked to photograph.

I have truly lost count of the (undoubtably!) thousands of people that I have met over the last 16 years, but know that I have never forgotten our experiences together! My Facebook memories remind me every single day of the adventures we have gone on, the stories that you have shared with me, your memories that I have been apart of, and I thank God every single day for this life that I live...ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!

When trying to find one photo to wrap up my gratitude to all of you who vote for us memory keepers every year, it only made sense that I share one of my family!

My husband who helps carry my bags to and from the car, is the last to send me away and the first to greet me when I come home and hears every single night when I walk in the door, "Oh my GOSH that was the best session EVER!" and just smiles without reminding me that I say that every day...my daughter who often comes along to help with babies, weddings or simply provides the music and convo to and fro a session...my son (and his wife!) who was the first to join the sunset-chasing evenings of what truly shaped SunnyFreckles into what it is today, this business is all of us

THANK YOU so much for sharing this time in your life with me! It is such an amazing experience watching our little humans turn into young adults and know that all the work you put in as parents and the village surrounding you has brought you all to this most special time!
