Hello, my name is Ronimarie Padua but you can call me Roni, the silly one behind the camera. Here’s a little bit about me! I just moved here to Sarasota, Florida. I was born and raised in California. Specifically in the Bay Area. I’m married to the man of my dreams and together we have two incredible boys, Kai and Kalani. Before diving into my photography business, I worked in the fitness industry

to elevate and empower others. As the world changed and I became a full time mother I felt a calling to do something new, photography! So why photography? Some moments in life are rooted in love and can not be expressed in words. A photo is a captured moment in time that can mark a season, milestone or express the best version of our lives. Remembering those moments keeps gratitude in our hearts and become cherished memories, printed and hung on our walls. Witnessing those special moments feed my soul and drives my purpose. It started with me taking pictures of my family and then my friends. The joy it gave me kept me wanting more. Now, I want to share my passion with you! Some more things about me:

Sometimes I get so busy building a beautiful life for them that I have to remind myself to stop and actually live it with them.

There will always be laundry.
There will always be dishes.
There will always be another tab open, another deadline, another thing asking for me.

But they won’t always be this little.

So today, we closed the tabs.
Nerf guns for the boys. Matcha for Mama.
And all of me, right here. Right now. 🤍🤙🏾

Being rooted in yourself doesn’t mean nothing can shake you.

It means that even when life does shake you, you don’t abandon yourself.

You remember who you are.
You trust that you can feel overwhelmed without being defeated.
You let yourself struggle without deciding that you’re weak.
And when you lose your footing, you slowly find your way back to your own ground.

I’m going through a lot right now. I don’t feel especially strong, and I don’t have a beautiful lesson to tie it all together yet.

But I’m still here.
Still holding on.
Still learning how to stay with myself through it.

Maybe that’s what being rooted really means. 🤍

Today is about you, Mackenzie. 🤍

One year of Studio 9.

One year since you made another brave decision to bet on yourself, take a leap of faith, and create something that was completely yours.

And if there’s one thing I know about you, it’s that you keep going.

Even when it’s hard.
Even when things don’t go according to plan.
Even when life gives you every reason to slow down, question yourself, or wonder if it’s worth it.

You keep showing up.

You are one of the most resilient people I know. You’ve built a business, built a space, built a community and you’ve done it while navigating all of the real-life stuff that nobody sees behind the pretty pictures.

And somehow, you still keep creating magic.

I hope today you take a second to really look around and let yourself be proud of what you’ve built. Because I am SO freaking proud of you.

I think you are brilliant. I think you are wildly talented. I think you are brave as hell. And beyond any of it, I’m just so honored that I get to call you my best friend.

Today, my flash broke in the middle of a shoot.

Like… fell off, hit the ground, BROKE broke. 🙃

And of course this was after hair and makeup, setting up backdrops, props, balloons, cakes, kids who were already missing their naps… the whole production. 😂

And there I was with a broken flash thinking, wellllllll, this is not ideal.

I texted Tyler:

“SOS. I’m in the middle of a shoot and my flash broke. Are you at work?”

He was.

And without hesitation he said he’d take his break, run home and grab his flash for me.

Within TEN MINUTES, we were pulling up to his house at the exact same time.

No big deal. No hesitation. Just, “I got you.”

And the thing is… this isn’t the first time.

A few months ago when my CAMERA broke, Tyler handed me his and let me use it until mine was fully repaired.

Like… who does that?! 😭

There’s something really freaking special about having people in your life that you KNOW you can call. The ones who don’t make you feel like a burden. Who don’t need a whole explanation. Who just show up.

Tyler, you are technically my mentee, but you are also one of my really good friends and, honestly, my mentor in a lot of ways too.

I learn from you. I trust you. I can count on you. And I hope you know you can always count on me too.

I freaking love you, dude. Thank you for always having my back. 🥹

And I’m extra excited because in October, the roles get flipped a little bit. I get to sit down with YOU as my next guest at BBC Live and let everyone else learn from you too.

I hope you know how freaking appreciated you are. 🤍

And you definitely deserve a permanent spot on this feed.

Also, lesson learned: BUY A BACKUP FLASH. 😂
