Proof: even photographers get nervous too 🥹👇 Comment 1–10 how nervous you’d be.
Where do I even start…
Three months ago, I decided to finally update my own photos. 🎉
I had a plan.
Work out.
Skincare on point.
New haircut.
The perfect outfit.
Hire my beautiful friend .
Easy… right? 😅
Well…
The haircut wasn’t the vibe.
My workouts weren’t consistent.
My skincare was perfect… and then my face AND scalp broke out the day before. 🫠
And all the clothes I bought? Didn’t wear a single one. 🤦🏻♀️
The week of the shoot came and I wanted to cancel.
But I didn’t.
I leaned into the awkward, self-conscious feeling—and realized this is exactly what my couples and families feel too.
So I did what I tell my clients to do.
I spoke up.
I told Jenni how nervous I was, and she came through. She reminded me the location would be stunning… and that I would be too. She helped with outfits, hyped me up, and slowly my confidence came back.
By the end, I was in the groove.
I do this for other people all the time.
I can do this for me too.
This experience reminded me that my job isn’t just to take beautiful photos—it’s to be the hype girl, the calm presence, the artist, and the human behind the camera.
Stepping into 2026 with even more compassion for the people who trust me with their milestones.
So glad I did this… and I can’t wait to see the final images.
Thank you, Jenni 🤍
If this post made you feel seen… you’re not alone. 🥹When you’re ready, I’d love to be your hype girl behind the camera too. DM “READY.”
