I love this quote, and it means even more to me after speaking to someone who just booked a session yesterday. She said she has done this 3 times before (A bo***ir session). Once for her husband, once for a Pin-Up girl theme, and once after she had lost weight. But none of them felt like doing it just for her. This time, (she has a session booked in Sept), this time she is doing it for herself. Divorced, happy with her body, and wearing whatever she likes, she is finally doing it for the single reason I think every woman should do it.

To honor yourself, and show yourself the love you give so easily to everyone else.

Every week I hear the same sentence…

"I've always wanted to do this… but I'm too nervous."

Can I tell you a secret?

Almost every woman who walks into my studio feels exactly the same way.

They're worried they won't know how to pose.
They're convinced they're not photogenic.
They're certain everyone else is more confident than they are.

And then…

Hair and makeup begin.
The posing starts.
They see the back of the camera.

Suddenly the woman who's been hiding from photos for years starts smiling.

Retirees.

Real women."

And all of them are a combination of scared, nervous, excited, doubtful, hopeful, and willing. And they have trust. In themselves. In me. In the process. And at the end, when they leave the studio, 100% of them have a new feeling, or if it's not new, it's just wildly increased....confidence. And that is the most beautiful thing I can offer anyone who books a session.
