Hi Friends!
Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Melissa, the face behind Melissa Kay Photography!
Although I’m currently a proud San Diegan, I’m an East Coast beach and Southwest Virginia mountain girl at heart.
I’m a huge dog lover and would rescue every single one if I could… but my husband is probably thankful we have a two dog maximum where we live!
My husband and I are baseball enthusiasts and living in San Diego we have fallen in love with Petco Park!
Photography has always been part of who I am. I’m constantly taking photos, always wanting to freeze a moment in time.
I’m a firm believer in “always do the photos!” Life moves fast, and those captured memories become priceless.
As a military spouse, I left a nearly 17 year career behind and moved to a city where I knew no one and nothing about the area. Picking up a camera became my way to connect, spread joy, create meaningful moments for others and I haven’t looked back since.
Just like me, my style is real, fun, and full of life. I want you to look back at your images years from now and be so glad you decided to “do the photos!”
I’m incredibly grateful to be behind the lens, meeting so many amazing people here in sunny San Diego, and I can’t wait to meet all of you!
