I work events from time to time. Let me say, I like to photograph events differently. I see the intimate moments and details, and want to bring a conversation to each image. I want people to look back on these photos 20,30,40 years from now and think… Whoa, what were they talking about? What music was playing in the background? They look like they have a true connection. I am not a “run-of-the-mill” photographer. I’m editorial, artistic, and love exploring the space of creativity. Come on the journey with me! I took 2 pieces of red velvet and wrapped them around my body. Tucked and morphed it into a bodice with safety pins. The underskirt is a massive amount of tulle I’ve collected over the years from shoots. I’ve wrapped so many dresses over the years in my career. I don’t plan to stop anytime soon. When there’s a creative idea in my mind, nothing stops me. Anything is possible. Say it again… ANYTHING is POSSIBLE.

When a “gold” vision comes to life. and I have been working on this shoot creation for months. I designed the background, set, and piece by piece assembled the set down to the floor. It didn’t stop there… hair, makeup, and styling was also done with careful planning. Supriya was very influential in helping to create the concept and form stying. She’s so natural in front of the camera. A beautiful soul with a powerful regal presence. We make a great team!! I’m so proud of the work we have created. There’s more to come… lookout tomorrow for more!!

Experiment. Experiment often. Experiment when you’re not sure. Experiment when you have an idea driving through your mind. This dress, back ground, and styling was playing through my mind constantly for six months. I made the dress. I made some of this background… and composited the rest through images I’ve taken in the past. Put in some hair extensions and put some dark shadows on my eyes. Experiment. Do the thing that drives you. Maybe, just maybe good things will happen.
