After photographing 50+ coastal weddings, here’s my honest comparison:

🏖️ LA JOLLA COVE:
✅ Dramatic cliff backdrops
✅ Sea lions add character
✅ Multiple ceremony spots
❌ Tourist crowds year-round
❌ Limited parking for guests

🌅 DEL MAR BEACH:
✅ Wide open beach space
✅ Easier guest access
✅ Better sunset views
❌ Wind can be challenging
❌ Requires permits for larger groups

📸 PHOTOGRAPHER’S VERDICT:
La Jolla for intimate ceremonies (under 50 guests)
Del Mar for larger celebrations

Both locations offer stunning San Diego wedding photography opportunities - it depends on your vision and guest count.

Such a great time with Terrence and Carolynn for their Los Angeles wedding this past week. They treated their guests to an unforgettable experience at Republique and all the food was ridiculously yummy. An amazing atmosphere so perfectly curated by the couple. One to remember for sure !
