one of the biggest tips i wish i gave myself when starting out was to constantly stay inspired.

we get into the habits of just going and going and not looking at the beauty of our surroundings in which can create pure magic when it comes to creating.

if you don’t feel inspired, just stop for a sec. put your phone away. put that editing session on pause. put on something that fuels your mind. inspiration will come when you least expect it.

my couples inspire the hell out of me. Liv + Noah, for example. some of the rarest beauty i’ve ever seen. the stories and laughs we shared. i had the honor of carrying Noah on my back in order to move from location to location to get their epic love story caught on camera. i’ll never forget how inspired i have felt since shooting and creating with these two individuals🧡�.

it’s crazy to think that in a matter of days, your entire world can change.

my little family and i find out we are expecting and the thrill that goes through one’s body when looking at this little stick of a positive sign and then looking at my wife’s eyes water with excitement and soon we are dancing in the kitchen of pure joy and excitement. to having noah come and bring toys and cuddle up mommy’s tummy because he is finally a big brother are moments that brought pure bliss to my heart.

jun 08, is a day I’ll never forget. my wife and i talking baby plans and making big moves while on our way to shoot our wedding for the day. everything is going so well until literally moments before the grand entrance, trying to find my wife and when I see her, tears and sniffles are rolling down her face and my heart sinks to the fu***ng floor. having to hear the words come out of her mouth, we miscarried brought tears to my eyes. knowing that the happiest day of a beautiful couple’s life is another couple’s worst nightmare. tears rolling down my face as the grand entrance is happening, forcing the camera closer to my eyes to hide my emotions.

losing a loved one, one that we have been hoping of, praying for, and dreaming of how he/she will look like and who’s toes will they have or eye color- is traumatizing.

that is why i went away for a way because my priority and everything that i do and create for is for my little family. they mean everything to me and I sincerely thank each and every one of you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers during this time. just know that if you have had this happened, we now feel and sympathize your pain. you are not alone and we are here for you🧡�.

what happens when we die? where do we go? what happens to all our photos?

what about when our images get deleted from Instagram, where do they go? when people report images and they disappear? are they really gone? are they dead?

who do we create for? do we create for ourselves or for the mere reason of trying to please those who don’t matter? do we let this app consume our everyday lives?

i recently received news that one of my past couple’s fiancé passed away. i had the greatest honor in capturing their surprise proposal and had to go back and look at their gallery to shed a few tears.

i began thinking of the amazing honor we have in being present and capturing these moments in people’s lives to remember forever. If you want that dream photographer to capture your moments, do it! If you want to wear something that means the world to you and your significant other but someone isn’t “down” to capture that because it doesn’t fit their style, tell them to funk off and call me! I’ll do it. if you’re wanting to explore nature and have it documented to remember for a lifetime, funking do it. in the end, it’ll all be worth it, i promise you.

how do you want to be remembered when you die? what’s the story you want others to say about you when you’re gone and they are praising your life? think about it and let me know. i for damn sure want to be remembered as the artist who didn’t give a funk and did everything for their couples. you guys are my ride or die. because of you, i get to follow my dreams and travel the world creating art for people. life is so beautiful! embrace it and don’t ever be so hard on yourself. YOU’RE WORTH IT🧡

i handed over my camera to my beautiful couple and left them alone in the restroom for about 5 minutes. i set up my camera, handed it to them, and let them do their thang.

if you ever feel stuck when creating or posing couples, it is okay to take a break. you’re a human being, not a robot!

one of the coolest experiences of my life to date.

my couple booked a cabin for their Yosemite elopement and allowed for my family to come: play, eat, and sleep under one roof.

woke up, shot their elopement and created beautiful magic together.
_____
i had the greatest privilege in extending our relationship by tattooing an exact photo of mine and their coordinates to where they said, I do. life is FUNKING beautiful🦖🦖
