this photo has always done something for me.

I’m not really sure if it’s the “mess” on the beach in the background or if it’s simply the “messiness”of how the veil was being thrown around, but something about the “messiness” makes it beautiful to me.
A lot of what we see online now are photos that sometimes look “perfect”. I spent 30 minutes on 1 photo yesterday editing out leaves on the ground because social media has taught us that debri on the ground is “ugly” and you know what?
That really pi**es me off. 😮‍💨
I’m here to say it’s not ugly…it’s real.
I’m not saying to never edit out distractions but I think sometimes it can be taken too far so let’s embrace the “messiness” every now and then so we can get back to real because if you look around and stop for a minute real is really kind of… beautiful.

This family means so much to me. I met Alexa through her dad, who truly has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. He’s the kind of person who’s always giving to others without ever wanting recognition for it. Although if you know him you know he’s also a little insane in the best way. 😂

What I never expected was that his referral would lead me to one of the sweetest friendships. Watching Alexa & Jay step into parenthood has been so special. They already love this beautiful baby girl so deeply, and you can just feel it when you’re around them. I can’t wait to watch their family grow and capture all the beautiful moments along the way. 🥹🤍
