Summer 2026
Day 8 Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods.
We started the day heading up to Pikes Peak...one of the 14ers ...14,115 feet at the summit.
The journey rather than just the destination was incredible. The changes in terrain and landscape were amazing as we ascended.
The drive was a little scary at parts... but well worth it.( Not that I was driving . Lol!)
The effects from the altitude were interesting for us sea-levelers 😳
We headed into Manitou Springs for lunch afterwards and then toured the
Garden of the Gods ... WOW! Just WOW!
I am not sure any of my photos did the views justice, but I tried!
As always we missed Jackson so much 💔
