The opportunity to film with the folks at PBS is certainly a highlight of my drone work. This year two of the documentaries I did the drone footage for were awarded Emmys - "The Wild West Bank Sound" and "Bdote: A Birthing Island".

I'm lucky to have the chance to work with such talented crews.

I've been working with NHCC for about six years now. Over that time they've accumulated a catalog of hundreds (thousands?) of clips and photos that can be easily used for social media, websites, ad campaigns and other needs.

So often a "drone" shot isn't high or fast - it really is just a way to put a camera where it works best. Here we were focusing on new signage.

If your business or campus could use these types of imagery please drop me a note.

A few fun shots from the Inventure hotel going up in Sartell. Plenty of progress inside and out.

The field at SCSU's Husky Stadium. I always thought this made a good finish line for the Earth Day races in the spring, but downtown has worked well too.

On a drone note many folks probably don't realize that this field is within the St. Cloud airport's controlled airspace and requires clearance before flying.

A PBS Passport gives you access to all of the programming on PBS. Such a great deal.

One new program you might watch there has some of my drone footage and an Emmy nomination! (Fingers crossed).

Minneapolis' West Bank comes alive with stories of music and migration in this multi-sensory trip.

Beautiful morning out filming at the new Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum. I particularly liked the design of the grounds around the submarine sail.

The Homecoming day and game at SJU in Collegeville is quite the event. I think my favorite spot to watch is the grassy hill off to the right of this photo.

Early September - football season starting up. Quite the field out in Cold Spring, Mn.

A documentary I helped out with is airing on PBS this Tuesday Sept 1st at 8p (CST) or anytime you'd like with your PBS membership. I've done a lot of drone footage of the Mississippi but we had some particularly good weather / cloud / wind days for some of these shots.

'We Are the River' documentary Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 8:00pm to 9:30pm TPT, Twin Cities PBS The majestic waters of the Mississippi River meander 650 miles through Minnesota’s prairies, valleys and cities, yet its constant presence is easily taken for granted. We’ve lost sight of the powerf...
